@Delaney Edwards heres a link to an article discussing the whole situation with J.K Rowling if you wish to further understand the context
@The Dark Marc And she has donated thousands and thousands of dollars to political figures to strip the rights of millions of innocent people. (And has denied the murders of thousands of innocent people at the hands of the Nazis).
A person can find the cure for cancer and that’ll be a great thing, but they shouldn’t be called a good person if they also shoot every person with blue eyes they meet.
Your post is full of hate for JKR.
I won't support anyones campaign of hate.
Could someone get an admin to lock this post?
@Reverb frost can you possibly lock this post? I feel like this conversation is quickly becoming heated
@The Dark Marc And yet you support the four year campaign of hate, misinformation, and fearmongering JKR has spread against millions of innocent trans people?
I support Lumos as an organisation that helps hundreds of thousands of kids in need.
I think you need a hug.
Again, a person can find the cure for cancer and that’ll be a great thing, but they shouldn’t be called a good person if they also shoot every person with blue eyes they meet.
A person doing good should not have all the horrific things they have also done ignored.
/hug
You need to chill out.
This Fandom respects the good work done by JKR. We are indeed filled with immense gratitude for her Wizarding World work and others.
But under no circumstances does this wiki stand by her in her hate campaign towards the queer community. One cannot say, "Hey I did some good so please ignore my bad"
Doesn't work that way. You are wrong, accept your mistakes and do not repeat them. The deed has been done. You can't take it back. The least you can do is aid the process of healing.
Unfortunately with JKR, she doesn't recognise her mistakes and also does not correct them. So yes, JKR's bigotry is highly condemned. A lot of her colleagues such as Daniel Radcliffe and such have come up and spoken about it. It's high time people who do what-aboutery on this issue acknowledge the mere fact that 1 wrong and 2 rights does not make the wrong right.
I'll let this post stay open and observe it. We do not believe in censorship but if some members of the audience aren't mature enough to have a healthy discussion on a sensitive matter, then we will have to go back to locking such posts again. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
What do you think?
