What was your opinion on the Slytherins back then? Cuz when I first started reading HP I immediately antagonize the Slytherins until I did a bit more research

JK wrotes it that way super early. We meet Draco first and then Hagrid confirms Slytherins are bad.. even our hero wants to be anything but Slytherin.. then you meet Snape..

Like so much of HP and Snape in particular- there's a lot of misdirection to hide the plot twists later

I can only imagine the shock when people find out that Snape was a hero...

Still the reason why Snape is my favourite character. Most complex and suprising character is the series. WAY more interesting than Harry i.m.o

My favourite twist was Moody in Goblet though. Didn't see it coming at all. I know it wasn't a series reveal like Snape- but it used a major plot device from Chamber and flipped it on its head. Awesome

I'm almost 30. I agree, wikis and fandoms in general are a great way to discuss and share our passions, and can even lead to something of a friendship between people, that transcends age or where we are in the world.

The revealing of Snape's past and his motives, and Moody actually being Barty Crouch Jr. are probably my two favorite plot twists.
