How most of the people think what the movies did is great is above me. That was Dumbledore’s wand. I think Book Harry would never break it. At least he should’ve fixed his own wand before breaking it.
@Jesperfahey13 that's a good point! Like, now what wand will he use in any future films after the series??
@Jesperfahey13 I never thought of that, but yeah I agree with you 100%
The Elder wand did 'belong' to Dumbledore, in that it chose him as it's 'master'.
In Dumbledores words
"I was fit only to possess the meanest of them, the least extraordinary. I was fit to own the Elder Wand, and not to boast of it, and not to kill with it. I was permitted to tame and to use it, because I took it, not for gain, but to save others from it"
Once Dumbledore was no longer able to perform this duty 'to save others from it', it passed to a new master- Draco
Draco in turn (unknowingly) lost mastery of the wand to Harry.
The wand choses the wizard. While Dumbledore used to be the master, it was only a temporary arrangement as the wand intended.
By choosing Harry as the successor, it passes to Harry to make the call as to what his mandate was in possessing the wand, which we might assume, was to confirm that Harry was indeed the true 'Master of Death'.
To me it made (somewhat dramatic) sense that Harry (The Master of Death) end the cycle which one of his ancestors was a part of starting. The chosen one to complete the story.
I'd usually prefer book canon- but in this case, giving it back to Dumbledore in his grave doesn't match the chosen path of the wand.
Breaking the cycle of death makes good sense, when performed by the right person.
@The Dark Marc then I will have Death make me another Elder Wand! And the new one will be the exact same design but 18 inches long
The original makers of the Hallows were the three Peverell brothers. 'Death' making the Hallows is just the story, so you can't really get 'Death' to make another Elder wand.
You might be able to summon the right Peverell brothers 'soul' with the resurrection stone if you can convince the stone he is dear to you... Antioch I think.. I'd have to check. You'd probably have a better chance if you had a blood relation try it, and have the brother pass on his knowledge about wand creation.
Wand length isn't an indication of power, but I'd be curious to hear your reasoning for having the wand so extraordinarily long.
Well, with the wand broken, it can never fall into the wrong hands again or become another wizard's master.
Besides, if someone tried to duel with Book Harry and disarmed him, that someone will become the new wand master.
Nah all good
What do you think?
