So fair omg there is no character in this series that I despise more than Snape - anyone who's had an awful teacher knows how frustrating it can be that this person has power over you and there's nothing you can do about it. And especially if you've had someone you thought was your friend call you a slur - it's just cruel.

It's even more frustrating because he's HONOURED by the end of the series with Harry naming one of his CHILDREN after him (also albus severus? two people that abused him??? should've done voldemort bellatrix potter and been done with it smh). Most awful characters get their karma but snape never does.

And by the way, Dumbledore didn’t abuse Harry.

I mean, Dumbledore was sort of a.. well, he so clearly favored Harry over everyone else. Maybe they were referring to that as a type of abuse?

@TheQueenOfTheUnderworld Atleast voldy moldy waited until the end of the school year to attempt to kill harry. (It's a harry potter fanon that he cared for Harry's education) Dumbledore manipulated the kid for the entirety of his first to sixth years at school. And Snape abused Harry for the entirety of his first to sixth years at school. I feel bad for him

@Rayvena They were referring to Dumbledore's manipulation as a form of abuse I think. (if your wondering how he manipulated the kid, he trained him so he could die in the end (well until he figured out he wouldn't die)

While some of Dumbledore's methods are somewhat questionable... He only had Harry die because Harry was one of the Horcruxes and he needed him to die in order to save millions of survivors that could've died if Harry didn't, even afterwards, he allowed Harry to revive himself so he could defeat Voldemort.

Overall, it would be a bit harsh to tag Dumbledore as an abuser.

@Harrypotter394 (sorry for the late reply omg mocks are killing me) but I meant more that Dumbledore was a bit of an enabler - he let harry be raised in an abusive household under the guise that it would 'protect' him but he could have easily raised Harry himself and had him protected that way - it's not like he didn't know.

Mrs Figg saw everything and even then, Harry was raised in a frankly appalling manner - he might not have been the one to hit him, but he let it all happen without batting an eyelid.
