In the actual canon it’s never stated— in Cursed Child it’s canon, but we all know that Cursed Child is sort of a dubious source on anything (it honestly feels more like fanfiction than anything— and that’s not even an insult to fanfics). However, other than that it’s only implied, so it could go either way in the actual canon.

As I have said before, Bellatrix has a huge crush on voldemort even though she is married to rodolphus lestrange instead (I think). Voldemort wanted an heir in case his reign ever somehow fell. There were very few female Death Eaters- Narcissa already had a child with Lucius Malfoy. Clearly, the only one left was Bellatrix. So he made a baby with her.

Men can reproduce until death, it might be more challenging but vast majority don't lose the ability all together.
