There's no fun in going to a ball if you won't dance with your dates! you may as well go alone if dancing is not your strong suit or your hobby!

Ok but like it seemed like Parvati actually wanted to go to the Ball with Harry, even if it was just because he was popular at the moment, and Harry just not wanting to do anything there while she wanted to have fun, is actually kinda sucky.

Even though Deathly Hallows is easily the worst Christmas Day, the Goblet of Fire Christmas Day is definitely the one I personally hate the most because there was no reason why Rowling couldn’t just let the characters enjoy the day.

In Deathly Hallows things are expected to be dark as it raises the stakes, thus supporting the narrative, but for Goblet of Fire, everyone having a bad Christmas day at the brilliant Yule Ball didn’t do anything to make the narrative more engaging and only frustrated the audience.

Honestly this is one of my least favorite parts of GoF, Harry and Ron were such jerks to the Patil sisters
