Not necessarily. If someone is only attracted to women and NB people, that is still only two genders. But also in the last decade the definition of bi has evolved to mean "attracted to two or more genders" while pan is attracted to All genders.

^FYI lgbt people have existed for all of human history as it is how you are born and isn’t influenced by anything let alone popularity, but if you think gay, trans, and bi people weren’t in the public light during the 80s and 90s I have some history you need to read.

Edit: around 5% of the population is, and always has been, lgbt, so for a school with around 280 students, about 14 students would be lgbt, and that isn’t taking into account the staff or any other characters outside of Hogwarts.

Yeah @Crystal Vulptex , the lgbt community always existed, and someones gender identity/sexuality is very rarely defined by what is 'popular' or in the public eye. It's just that as some countries become less prejudiced, many more people (myself included) are a lot more comfortable with coming out. Also, another reason why there is no canon lgbt representation in HP is because Rowling is extremely transphobic. Think before you comment, as that post may have upset other wiki users. Thanks.
