I was looking through some old threads I made and came across one where I talked about crossovers with the Harry Potter series. As such, and since I recently re-watched Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, I decided to ask this idea.
Whether you treat the Monsterverse and Wizarding World as one and the same here or - like the two Monsterverse/Justice League comic crossovers - have it as a temporary incursion from one universe to another, I'll leave it up to you.
For those who don't know, the Legendary/Monsterverse version of Godzilla is from an ancient species of reptilian apex predators named "Titanus Gojira" - which evolved during the Permian period (about 298.9 to 251.9 million years ago).
His species have a bio-nuclear circulatory system and are stated to feed on radiation; utilizing this most notably with their signature "atomic breath" attack, which is fired from their mouth as a beam of energy. As the planet's natural surface-based radiation began to decrease in the past, Godzilla's species adapted to survive by diving deep into the ocean and consuming the planet's natural geothermal radiation in a hibernation-like state from its molten core.
Godzilla's diet of radiation - combined with his natural durability and regenerative capability - has even allowed him to survive direct nuclear explosions and emerge stronger each time, as seen here when a nuke was used to heal and energize Godzilla after he was severely weakened by the experimental 'Oxygen Destroyer' weapon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0wmeqrzOZE
While there were many Godzillas in the past, the current Godzilla is believed to be the last of his kind; standing at almost 400 feet/120 meters tall and serving as an "Alpha" to the other Titans to keep them in check and 'maintain balance' - notably defeating/killing off rival Alphas (who may take control of the other titans for their own ends, as King Ghidorah did in the past) and more dangerous Titans while also preventing others from overpopulating and thus overrunning the planet.
While this may make him seem like a "Protector" of sorts, Godzilla does often cause a lot of collateral damage in the process and has no qualms about attacking/killing humans if they get in his way.
Question is, if the Monsterverse Godzilla did exist/arrive in the Wizarding World, would his natural abilities and his ancient biology - like the Dragons of the Wizarding World - make him highly resistant/impervious to most/all magical attacks, or do you think the fact that he's not a magical creature would make him easy for Wizardkind to deal with/seal away?
Curious to see what you guys think.
