Ok most books follow the same trio, important main character, smart but bossy female character that becomes slightly less bossy by the end, and silly male best friend to main character. That’s it

I’d recommend Discworld. Its mostly for a slightly older audience than Harry Potter, but there are a few similarities. Both feature (very different) schools for wizards, and both have wizards and witches and other fantasy stuff.

I've read Percy Jackson and am reading the Narnia books, and would recommend both

I'd say Percy Jackson is definitely more similar to Harry Potter (they live at a camp/school, the villain who reigned terror in the past who was taken out is being revived by devout followers, they have an abusive guardian, there's a prophecy, a character who appeared to be fully evil turns out to be on the right side in the end before death, there's a smart friend and a loyal friend of the main character, there's a cabin/house with a bunch of bullies with one specific bully targeting the MC, people at the camp/school are sorted into cabins/houses by something on their head, etc)

^^1984 is amazing, but I don’t see how it connects to Harry Potter. It isn’t YA, it isn’t fantasy, and it isn’t fun. Its an Orwell story about a dystopian future (or past, now, I guess).
