HOGWARTS LEGACY GAMEPLAY RETURN! - Hogwarts Legacy: Slytherin/Part 8

Okay so I haven't played Hogwarts Legacy since January 2025, so I don't know who remembers when I was posting these at the beginning of the year. But I am back with my Slytherin character Ryder O'Connell (aka 'Prince of the Night').

He is a Slytherin half-blood who pretends to be pure-blood. Also don't know if this matters, but it says I'm LEVEL 11 in the game. For further info, links at the bottom to my old posts.

In general I recommend that before you continue with this, to go back with the links I'm putting at the bottom of this post to get a refresher. Or if it is your first time seeing Ryder's HL story, to know what has happened so far.

Slytherin - Part 8

So when I went back in with not really any memory of where I had left off, I found myself in the very inside of one of the Hogwarts entrances.

I saw there was something marked on my map, so I decided to go find out what that was. Turned out to be for Percival Rackham's Trial. So I decided to follow that quest, which told me to go meet Professor Fig at a tower.

On the way there I tried attacking a random woman who looked sad by firing spells. Didn't work though. I only temporarily startled her. I also managed to kill a Dugbog that was in my way to the tower. Lost half my health, but it naturally came back. I wanted to save my one bottle of Wiggenweld for later just in case.

Now due to Ryder's 'Prince of the Night' (reminder that the 'prince' thing is metaphorical, not literal) secret persona, I allowed him to not have school robes covering his blue suit until I got to where Prof. Fig was waiting for me.

Some of Ranrok's Loyalists were there, and I used the Disillusionment Charm to sneak by with Prof. Fig.

But alas---I of course accidentally fire a spell at a Goblin and almost die fighting a few off before managing to actually use the spell on myself.

Then I snuck in, and attacked one Goblin, defeating it.

Then the final goblin was a bit of a button-struggle, and I somehow sent a biting plant after it 🙃.

After that I searched the Goblin's tents and found the note from Ranrok telling them to "search for names". Then ?two? Loyalist assassins attack and I almost died because I somehow forgot my left to my right when trying to use my Ancient Magic.

Then I had Ryder explore the big tower with Prof. Fig, and I was clicking almost whatever I could. One time it resulted in Ryder drinking some tea that is definitely expired 🤮.

So I came across Percival Rackham's prortait at the top and after head back down to start the First Trial. Really easy at first.

Then I almost immediately get killed by the giant knights. And die four more times before finally winning by using Ancient Magic against the biggest knight.

Then I go through more just wandering around parts of the trial.

After that I didn't realize I walked into more knights, and I wasn't prepared to fight and I died again 😡.

After that I died eight more times before realizing that if I used Experlliarmus, I wouldn't be dying.

Then I fiddled around with the platform thing-y for a very long time (I had to get my Dad's help to figure it out). Eventually I realized I was going about it in a very convoluted way when there was a easier path to take.

Now knowing to use Expelliramus, fighting any Knights after was EASY.

Although I don't really know why the Pensieve Knight didn't fight back.

After that, it was Pensieve memory time.

All I got to say is---OF COURSE ISADORA IS A DADA TEACHER!

Last thing I did was the Map Chamber segment where Ryder talked to a portrait of Charles Rookwood. Everyone in this franchise is related---
