What's your theory?
-made a paper bird to encase a drawing and blew it over to Harry like a kiss
-hopped himself up into a tree just for Harry to PROBABLY show up just so he could tease him
-has regular bickering matches with him and tries to get his attention from the other side of the hecking Great Hall
-tries to get Harry's attention by pretending to be a Dementor
-gets so offended that Harry didn't shake his hand first year
Idk man, Draco's a bit weird lol

Prisoner of Azkaban - Harry inflates Aunt Marge, inflicts damage, meets Cornelius Fudge but doesnt get expelled
-uses memory charm to make Marge forget about becoming an inflatable woman
Order of The Phoenix - Harry uses Patronus Charm infront of cousin to save themselves from dementors, almost gets expelled
- dementors sent by ministry
-decides not to use memory charm this time
-sends magic letter infront of the exact same muggle + his parents to tell Harry that he's expelled
By "extracted memories", I mean the silvery stuff that some witches and wizards can pull out of their heads.

This is so accurate
Here I was watching a video on YouTube about HP that explained that Dementors such away your soul and left is little fraction inside you of your own soul. This means a large part of your soul now resides inside a dementor and the remaining part inside your mortal body. Also we know Dementors do not eject or die so the part must remain there. They also do not kill but leaves a person in a horribly shattered state.
All of this seemed familiar to what a Horcrux does. Retaining a part of your soul and the other part inside your body. My question comes down to if someone could use Dementors in this way as a Horcrux. If it is possible, we would not have to commit murder to make a Horcrux. What are your thoughts about it?
Deep in the woods...
Alone...
At night...
Shrouded in a blue fog...
Surrounded by glowing silver stars...
Sage Cove.
You stumble through the stone archway.
"Traveler," murmurs a voice. "You are not well."
You look up to see two animals- a lynx and a jay. They're made of glowing silvery-blue mist and around their necks they wear intricate black necklaces with blue opals.
"Lynx, we should take the traveler to Thestral," suggests Jay.
"Very well," Lynx says quietly. "Come with us."
You are led through this magical village, full of treehouses and canopy-palaces. Finally you reach a hut labeled "Healing Hut". You enter, flanked by Lynx and Jay.
"Thestral!" Calls Jay. "We have a traveler, they're exhausted. I reckon it was their first Protection."
"Oh, my," says the gentle Thestral, made of the same blue mist. She removes her necklace and places it around Lynx's neck. "You'll have to handle any Summonings for me."
"Yes, Thestral," replies Lynx.
You take the herbs Thestral gives you and fall asleep in a nest of sage, rosemary and lamb's ear leaves.
When you wake, another silvery animal stands over you.
"Welcome, new one," they say. "Will you join us?"
Explanation

The blue opal will pulse whenever your Castor has succesfully cast a patronus charm, and you must follow the trail of lights sent out by your Vocare to reach your Castor and save them, before returning to Sage Cove, a village of treehouses, where patronuses who have not been actively summoned live.

I think dementors are people who have had their soul sucked out, and they eventually turn into one.

Dementors are just regular pepole that get kissed by dementors and live without thier soul for long enough that they want to suck other's happiness and souls
But just how does the fact that their numbers can be limited if the conditions in which they multiply are prevented from forming imply that they do die off eventually? If you have 10 dementors and you prevented any more from forming, then their numbers would be limited to just 10. It wouldn't require them to be able to die off.
So Dementors can suck souls by their mouths.
What if Dementors kiss Voldemort's horcruxes? Like kissing the Hufflepuff cup or Ravenclaw Diadem? Will that destroy them?
A dementor sucks your soul out and leaves you with an empty body you can't move or talk. Does anyone else find that scary? Losing your soul should be the worst thing possible in the wizarding world. I'd be terrified of running into a Dementor knowing they can suck your souls and leave you immobile for eternity. The kiss really is a fate worse than death.
Through out the entire series (both in books and films), we never have seen any of the Hogwarts ghosts at the Quidditch pitch. At least the House Ghosts should be at the match to cheer the teams, right? (I mean, even dementors went there to see Quidditch.)
What do you think?
P.S. And Peeves would be definitely delightful at the cheerful pitch during the match. So why did we never see him there, do you think he was banned from the pitch for some reason? (that actually makes sense lol)
In HBP Harry wrote an essay on how to deal with dementors.
If i remeber correctly, Harry wrote about patronus charm, but Snape disagreed with him.
So what is Snape on about? Is there anything more effective than a patronus charm, or was Snape just messing with Harry. Although he was the tracher, so he should be teaching correctly.
Although Lupin did mention in PoA that there are several ways to deal with them.
“But Fudge went out to Azkaban the night Black escaped, the guards told Fudge he’s been talking in his sleep for a while now. Always the same words “He’s at Hogwarts, he’s at Hogwarts.”
How did the Dementors communicate this with Fudge? And how were they able to hear Sirius? I thought they only sensed people through their emotions and souls, not sound and sight. So does this mean there are human guards?
