imo umbridge hate is incredibly overexaggerated, even if she is annoying, she definitely isn't the worst in terms of morality or a bunch of other things. she didn't kill anyone or anything extreme, she was just annoying and kind of harmful to the students

though i will say, it might be the problem w the writing because honestly she's very poorly written

hello everyone, I'm currently working on maternal matters' 3rd chapter, and I need a tad bit of help, I just need to know two simple things, 1, who was the undersecretary before umbridge, and 2, who was the court scribe before percy weasley, i need peiple who were or could've been in these positions on the 2nd of november 1981, and of course, I thank all of you in advance for your answers

The ministry has all these methods of finding out the truth, yet they don't use any of them on Harry at the trial. when they're persecuting Harry, they don't use veritaserum or Occlumency or any spell that could force him to tell the truth. What's the deal? There are people still unsure that what Harry is saying is true? Ok, just use the Pensive and we can all literally see what he saw.

There were so many ways to solve that stupid trial in the beginning. I'm sure Harry would have been ok with either of those methods to prevent being expelled from school. It's not like those methods hurt or anything.

In my case I would create and untraceable toxin made of various toxic and poisonous materials and slip it into her tea without her knowing.

If Marietta, Cho's friend had been in the movies who could've played her? remember it would have to be a redheaded actress since she's described as a redhead, keep it mind this is the girl that sold Dumbledore's army out to Umbridge in the books

*i came in her office at 6*

"oh what now you fat elephant" i say

"HOW DARE YOU CALL ME THAT- well saw you where eating in my class you dumb coward!"

"yeah so? Do i need to starve to death? look, i love to chat but i'd rather have a root canal" i say

"STOP INSULTING ME YOU USSELES PIG" Umbrella says

"im not insulting you miss, im describing you."

"well excuse me! then you're wrong you're INSULTING ME YOU- YOU.."

"miss, i would love to insult you but i just can't"

"aw why not cause im perfect and you're just a pawn?"

"what?! no! im just afraid I won’t do as well as nature did. and one qeustion: why are you wearing black?” i look at her confused

"well dear.. im ready for you're funeral" she laughs hard

I look at her more confused: "who said you where invited?"

"SHUT IT!" she screams "i can't wait until 10 seconds from now, when im not talking to you"

"“Sorry, I’ve got literally anywhere else to be right now.” i say back

"you.. YOU DUMB STINKING MONKEYS BUTT"

*someone comes in* "here" he says and goes away

"who the Griffindor was that?" i say

“Oh, here’s your nose back. I found it in my business.” she says while putting an more ugly face on

“Remind me: am I supposed to care?” i ask like it's a normal thing to ask

"well can you go there?" she points at somewhere far from her

"well... ok" i go there "uh.. im going far" i say

“I know you’re gonna go far. I just hope you stay there.” she says while trying to hold her laugh

“Wait, take a step back real quick. And another… And another…”

She goes up to me

“Where’s your off button?” she says

“Don’t mind me, just looking for your mute button.”

Peeves is one of my favorite characters. He is annoying but he genuinely cares about the school, and hates one of our enemies, Umbridge. He also helped in the war, I say he's annoying but basically everything he does is funny, not really hurtful.
