Got a lot of good time with both Sebastian Sallow and Poppy Sweeting this time around. It was so fun!
Slytherin - Part 26:
Upon getting back in, I had to go to Feldcroft with Sebastian to go speak with Anne. Getting there, it was to find that Loyalists and Ashwinders were attacking.
Then there was a cutscene where Anne’s curse was affecting her, and a goblin was running up to kill her. Sebastian then saved her last second using Imperio to make the goblin…uh, I don’t even think I can say here. Unalive itself? Is that okay to say?
This made Uncle Solomon angry though, and while taking Anne away he ordered Sebastian to stay away forever. That was pretty harsh…and when Sebastian said to Ryder that that curse was what just saved Anne’s life, I had him agree.
Then it was decided that Ryder would speak to Uncle Solomon while Sebastian went back to Hogwarts for a while. The second I started to talk to him though, he got all mad that I was going to defend Sebastian’s actions. Which yes, yes Ryder is going to do. This got him madder, and he practically threatened Ryder and Sebastian! So what if I use Crucio against my enemies?
Now I had to go to the Undercroft back at Hogwarts to speak to Sebastian again. Using Floo Powder as a quick way to get there.
Told him that his uncle is standing his ground on him going to see Anne…or even step foot in Feldcroft. Also that we could be expelled if Uncle Solomon sees either of us using an Unforgivable Curse again. Like Ryder’ll stop, heh.
He got mad, and said he’d try to meet up with Anne in secret using some old crest they had from their parents. Sebastian said he would message Ryder when something new came up.
With that, I decided to go meet dear, sweet Poppy Sweeting in Hogsmeade. Floo Powdering there, she was waiting for Ryder underneath a big tree in the Town Square.
Talking to her, Poppy spoke of her Gran, Prof. Howin and most importantly the dragon’s whereabouts. Once at the spot that the dragon was believed to be, I got the choice on whether I thought this would be easy or dangerous.
I decided on easy, based on how the dragon could remember that Ryder and Poppy had saved it previously from the Poachers.
Going along the path to her nest, we came across two Dark Mongrels. Defeated one before moving on to the broken bridge. As I was fixing it with Reparo, the remaining Dark Mongrel hit me and if that bridge hadn’t been fixed by that point, I would have been pushed down to death most likely.
Finally came across the dragon, and she started attacking us! Used up the rest of my Wiggenweld (two total) sneaking up to the next checkpoint. Gained another potion, and had to use it. I was doing my best to be sneaky, and I finally got to the cavern path to the nest. Nearly died running to that checkpoint, having only a sliver of health and no more Wiggenweld upon running there.
The things Ryder will do for Poppy…sigh…
So one fixed bridge later, we put the dragon egg back. Then the dragon came, and nearly made Poppy fall off a cliff until it seemed to realize we were only returning her child. After that Poppy was going on about how cool that was with Ryder, and of course I had him agree.
The next option I got was in response to her saying, “Thank you for doing this with me. Wouldn’t blame you one bit if you wanted to head back to the castle and never think about dragons again”. My two answer choices were either “Not at all. But I am ready to head back” or “I’m not ready to leave”. If I understood the tone of my second choice correctly, it seemed like a very romantic thing for Ryder to say to Poppy after all.
Anyways, I also got photos of the final dragon encounter here. In the first photo, it honestly looks almost like Ryder and Poppy are holding hands...sooo cute!:
They agreed to do a little exploring before going back to Hogwarts. I loved how Ryder seemed to be out of breath at everything that had just happened, and Poppy was just like, “Yeah, just an average Tuesday for me…dragons, ya know?”.
After getting a look around, I talked to Poppy again about how it’s weird that the Poachers haven’t bothered us when outside of Hogwarts. Then she began to freak out, and said she needed to get back and send an owl…to someone. I don’t know who. This was when I had to get off though.
