What was the point of J.K. writing those text/articles prior to the first Fantastic Beasts movies? I mean, I liked getting all that information, but what was it for? Nothing of that was used/mentioned in the movie aside from Rappaport's Law.
Isolt's story and how she found it Ilvermorny, why? We don't get on mention of her in the movie and the one scene where they mentioned the school in the movie was cut.
Wizarding Schools
What was the point of her revealing those wizarding schools before the first Fantastic Beasts movie? She only gave us shallow information about them, even with Ilvermorny we only got the origin story. I know there was a theory that the schools were hints about where which Fantastic Beasts movie would take place, but that when out of the window because the third movie was supposed to take place partly in Brazil but now apparently is in China.
As nice as it was to find out more about the wizarding world outside of the U.K. those articles were shallow in knowledge, useless, and set in the past. I would much rather she had wrote set in the present time at the very least.
