Hello, a sometimes poster here, I made threads in the past such as what kind of takeaways they have in Diagon Alley or if gun laws be more lenient if wands are trusted to 11-12 year olds.

But I am also an admin on the Sonic wiki which explains my pfp.

I have a question, how do you handle spoilers when it comes to new content?

Say, for example, J.K. Rowling released the first of a new Wizarding World book series, or Warner Bros released a new film.

Obviously, not everyone will be able to buy the book or see the film on its first day.

On Sonic wiki, we have something we call "spoiler etiquette", they're not official rules that are enforced, just decent manners expected of users and that if users post spoilers for the sake of trolling then action will be dealt.

But sometimes users post spoilers because they're not familiar with spoiler etiquette, so admins will have to clean it up.

Not only that, but given we wikis keep up to date with recent information, the "Just Updated" feed on the discussion board will also show names and/or profile pictures of characters or content that would be regarded spoilers.

So, what steps or precautions does Harry Potter Wiki take for users who do not want spoilers for latest content?

Greetings potterheads! I take great pride in announcing that @CHT64 has been appointed as the newest Admin and the second "Discussions-focused admin" on The Harry Potter Wiki!

CHT joined the MoM team almost 4 years back, on 16th Nov 2020 as a Dmod, almost a year after her being actively participating on the Dboard. There on, she has only strived to make some really valuable contributions not only to the Dboard but also the wiki!

So I would like to take this moment to welcome her and pass on the baton, as I step down from all roles and active duty on the wiki. Harry Potter holds a special place in my heart and so does this wiki. Good luck everyone!
