Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery

Is it just me, or does Andromeda’s model in Hogwarts Mystery look like she has suffered from severe insomnia, been starving for weeks, had her lips stung by bees, and never washed her hair?

She has those heavy eye bags, a gaunt face, strangely puffy lips, and the greasiest hair. It’s like they were trying to make her look intense but accidentally made her look like she just walked out of a survival horror game.

Is it just me, or is her model really unfortunate? To me, I somehow feels like the Tom-to-Voldemort transformation is not as rough. After all, she’s only in her 30s, yet she looks so ill, possibly even jaundiced

P. S. I don’t hate the game. Most of the other HM models are natural, simple, and intriguing. The Vaults story is probably too epic idk. I've never played it but I like how the game turned out. Not so much with Andromeda, though.

Cyrene Dumbledore's Animagus form, if she could be an Anmagus, would likely be a cheetah because idk if mythical creature Animagus form would be possible, but if they are, then she'd be a phoenix! Her Patronus would be one too <3

Also, my HM character would probably be a curse-breaker once she graduates hogwarts, because she figured out the secrets of the hogwarts cursed vaults (but if she had a more normal hogwarts student life, she'd likely have become a magizoologist like her relative luna lovegood)! she'd also be a member of the order of the phoenix

And her adorable boyfriend and eventual husband barnaby lee would definitely buy her a pigmy puff from weasley's wizard wheeses as a valentine's day gift once the shop actually exists because he loves her <3

Meanwhile, i bet my slytherin hl girl yu would own a fanged puffskien, because she likes spooky things, especially if they terrify duncan hobhouse 😆

Oh yeah i forgot to mention this buuuuuuut (slight spoilers here) in the battle where you get to kill victor rookwood in hl, he tries to get the player character to join him, but of course there's no option to actually do so in-game, but in her lore, Yu does indeed join him but only once he has his promise- through an unbreakable vow or some other magical method that would kill him if he broke his promise- that he would fufill her two conditions for him: for her to be treated as his equal, not his sidekick or servant, and for him to help her fight in the battle against ranrok. he fufills both of the two conditions well enough before she brutally turns on him and tortures him with crucio and then uses imperio on him to make him get on his knees and beg for even more mercy than he did without imperio being used upon him, and then she laughs and casts avada kedavra on him, all in front of the dying professor fig, she wouldn't wait to torture victor rookwood until after fig died cus he didn't want him touching or even getting near fig, which she told fig, sighing and then giving the wand of fig's late wife miriam to him, closing her eyes for a moment afterwards, and when she opened them, he was dead, gone to the next life, victor rookwood could have been in desguise as someone else or just go under an invisibility spell like the disillusionment charm before then tho cus Yu wouldn't want fig getting suspicious or mad in any way, but after that, as ranrok and fig both lay dying, victor rookwood reveals his true identity- and his true colors- and yu reveals her own true colors in betraying him. victor rookwood's last words are the same important, revelating, plot-twisting ones he says in-game when the player character kills him in a very different setting, those words are "children should be seen and not heard", which he said after the imperio curse was removed by yu, and Yu laughed even more and replied, "and you shouldn't be either seen or heard", just before she was finished torturing him and casted avada kedavra to kill him

Well, i can see yu doing this, but i now have a 2nd slytherin girl now, and doing this would suit her even more than it would suit yu, and she wouldn't bother to desguise victor rookwood from fig cus i think fig gets trapped under some debris and would be in no position to stop my 2nd slytherin girl from doing whatever she wants, lol, also my 2nd slytherin girl would demand before she and victor rookwood go to battle with ranrok that he name her as his second-in-command and his the one to be his sucessor to his dark wizard gang if he dies in the battle with ranrok in front of all his dark wizards, both the poachers and the ashwinders, which he does indeed do, and since none of those dark wizards were present when she betrayed, tortured, Imperiused, and killed Victor Rookwood, well, she brought his corpse to them and acted as if his death was a tragic accident that was all Ranrok's fault, declaring that every Ranrok Loyalist- or the few ones that were still alive by the battle with Ranrok, anyway- should be slowly and painfully killed on-sight. All of the dark wizards agreed upon this, and none of them ever suspected that it was actually her, not Ranrok, who brutally slaughtered Victor Rookwood.

She also buried Professor Fig's corpse in a special place, and he- and the other professors and students of Hogwarts- never knew that she became the ruler of a very evil, ominous, and powerful empire of the dark wizards that were once lead by Victor Rookwood before she betrayed him.

Also, my 2nd slytherin girl probably would have married an older brother of Ominis Gaunt, or perhaps Ominis himself, but idk if their personalities are compadible in a non-friendship, romantic way or not, you all decide on that i guess lol, all i know is that she'd marry some gaunt or malfoy or lestrange, because all those families are wealthy purebloods like herself

also, she's the daughter of apollonia black and richard jackdaw before they both died, she has no idea that richard jackdaw's her dad- or that apolonia's her mom, she was raised by phineas nigellius black, the infamously hated hogwarts headmaster himself- until she meets his ghost for the first time, at the grotto with the design of a toast-loving giant squid that was owned by appolonia black, during the slytherin house-specific quest, and she eventually makes that place more or less her second room of requirement because she can't live at hogwarts forever unless she becomes a professor there, which she doesn't plan on doing because her family- the house of black- doesn't need to really work due to being exceedingly wealthy and because of that, she has no idea why phineas nigellius black is headmaster of hogwarts, she eventually convinced him to unban quidditch, and she's a parcelmouth btw, but she's not super related to the other pureblood parcelmouths, they are mostly all her second and third cousins

Also, i headcanon that nearly-headless nick was somewhat jealous of but still nice to and friends with richard jackdaw, since richard jackdaw was decapitated the correct way and was invited to join the headless hunt because of it, which nearly-headless nick would have loved to take part in

and i've decided to no longer make yu be a parcelmouth cus i want her to have some other special ability instead, and because i kind of want her to have a love triangle with ominis and sebastian without her being related to ominis, before eventually choosing sebastian

and i think it would be cool if my oc ethelinda ravenclaw (daughter of an older helena ravenclaw and bloody baron who witnessed the bloody baron kill helena ravenclaw and can see thestrals because of it and who can see and wield ancient magic, like the player-character in hl, and can also see the future and easily do Legilimency and occulmency as well as plenty of nonverbal and sometimes even powerful and unusually, extremely precice wandless magic), owned a pale pink, probably blind thestral as a pet, she would have raised it from birth (its parents could have died from something, just has her own parents did)- unrelated to hl/hm cus she's not in either of those games, but still related to hp cus she's a hp oc

Cyrene Dumbledore, my Gryffindor girl, was an Obscural for a few years before she came to Hogwarts and it started getting worse after the crucio quest with Sebastian, but eventually she found a way to feel safe and loved, and was no longer an Obscural by the end of the year. <3

Maybe she wouldn't be an obscural, but my non-hl oc ethelinda ravenclaw definitely would be, after literally seeing her dad kill her mom, she'd be able to control when she transforms into her obscural form for the most part though, but it would be harder for her to control it if something or someone triggers her trauma (poor girlie </3)

Also, after her dad killed her mom, i think she could be adopted by helga hufflepuff and godric gryffindor, who would've gotten married to each other a few years before the tragety, helga hufflepuff could have taken a double last name perhaps, so she'd become helga hufflepuff-gryffindor, ethelinda would probably keep her last name the same though, to honor her mother helena ravenclaw and her grandmother rowena ravenclaw, who, as she was dying, would tell ethelinda that all her possesions are now ethelinda's possesions, including her lost diadem if anyone ever found it (helena's ghost would have eventually told her where it is, after telling her that the bloody baron wanted her to continue her education at hogwarts and live with him, while helena wanted her to live with her in albania where she hid the ravenclaw diadem and transfer to whichever wizarding school was closest to there if hogwarts wasn't close enough, which is why he killed her out of fury and then himself out of regret)

Upon graduating hogwarts, perhaps ethelinda ravenclaw would have worked in the department of mysteries in the ministry of magic, eventually becoming head of that department, or maybe she would have become a defence against the dark arts professor at hogwarts, and perhaps eventually the headmistress of hogwarts

Pretty sure ur character can become an Animagus in HM, and imagine if Barnabe Lee, my character Lilitia Lovegood's eventual husband, saw her in Animagus form and gushed over how cute she is and petted her, and then she turns into a human and smirks, and he says "Wow, you're even prettier in human form..." and starts blushing lol, and they both would be laughing their sweet, adorable heads off!

Not sure what her Animagus should even be, though, so please suggest ideas! <3

Also, I headcanon that if Lilitia met Natty and Poppy from HL, they'd be best friends! Oh, and I can't forget Imelda or some other Slytherin girl (preferably one who likes animals, maybe Nerida Roberts because she's drawn to mermaids), we need every Hogwarts house in on the bestie groupie!

Lilitia would be Natty's bestie cus they are both Animagi, and she'd be Poppy's bestie because they both love animals <3

One of my HL ocs, my Hufflepuff girl Alouette Scamander, also loves animals, so I headcanon that Lilitia and Natty would teach her and Poppy to become Animagi! <3

I’m on year 8 chapter 23 but I still haven’t had the adult dating side quest. The side quest was released 7 months ago, shouldn’t it have come up by now?

In Hogwarts mystery your name can’t be someone like __ Malfoy or ___ Potter I thought this was interesting

So I've recently completed 7th year and started on the life after Hogwarts content, but finding the story less than engaging.

Unsuprisingly the build up about selecting a profession is pointless.

Everyone is forced into the same story arc. I mean I get that it's just a mobile game and very limited as far as your choices actually meaning anything- but there was such focus on what you wanted to choose for your life after Hogwarts.. it was disheartening to see it was all just flavour text... again (Like believing that House selection might change some of the story..)

What are these, Basilisk fangs?? They’re huge!

Mine is year 3, chapter 1 or 2. I forget which chapter.

I love limited time quests and all but having like 3 in a week is taxing

For some context I started Hogwarts Mystery about a year ago on an iPad but I have moved overseas and that very iPad is all the way at my father’s house. I want to log into my Hogwarts Mystery and continue with my saved progress with another device, but both my Dad and my own devices have different Apple IDs. I’ve asked my Dad for his Apple ID but I’m afraid that I’ll lose my progress if I log into my dad’s Apple ID and back to my own. Is there another way I can solve this issue? Yes, I am aware of the Facebook account method but I wouldn’t want my father to log into my Facebook account when he’s a 13 hour flight away. He also uses that iPad for work so I don’t think he would understand if I had to teach him how to link that Hogwarts Mystery account. So, is there a way I can play the same Hogwarts Mystery game in 2 completely separate devices?

Update: Nah I just found out that they in fact do have the same Apple ID but the game is still not the same so
