So, is it just me or are any of you not starting at Hogwarts today either, because you're still waiting for your acceptance letter to come?

Would the hogwarts acceptance letter look any different in 2017?
Would much prefer having actual writing of the 2017 letter, it’s for a fanfic I’m currently writing right now.

“Lily, take Harry and go! It’s him! Run! I’ll hold him off!” James Potter said. “Okay, James!” Lily replied. After Lily and Harry rushed upstairs, Voldemort proceeded to enter. Upon entry, Voldemort said, “Your dear wife will be the only one who has the choice to live or die..”James picks up his wand off the sofa. “WAIT!!..” James hesitated. “So you’re the Dark Lord who’s unbeatable? The most powerful wizard on the planet? Yet you’re just going to kill me without even accepting my challenge to a duel? I’m not surprised.. I’ve already fought you to a stalemate 3 times previous.. You can't beat me when I’m wielding my wand, so I can see why you have to do it when I’m defenceless.” he says, snarkily. The duel commences. “NO ONE THREATENS MY FAMILY! AVADA KEDAVRA!!” James exclaimed. Lord Voldemort’s corpse crashed to the ground. James gets out of his house. “James? I heard you cast the killing curse on the Dark Lord and his body crashing to the ground. Are you OK?” Lily asked. “Yes, Lily. I’m OK!” James replied. “I thought he cast it on you. I was so scared!” Lily says. “NOOOOOO!!!” Bellatrix exclaims upon entering James and Lily’s house. (Delphi enters with use of a Time-Turner) “I’m the daughter you’ll now never have, Delphini Riddle, I came from the timeline where Lily and James are dead. I was conceived in Malfoy Manor in the mid-to-late 1990s as the result of a liaison between you and Lord Voldemort. On the 2nd of May, 1998, during the Battle of Hogwarts that will now never happen, you and him were murdered. You — were murdered by Molly Weasley, and Dad in the timeline I’m from was killed by Harry.” Delphini explains. “AVADA KEDAVRA!” Lily casts the Killing curse on Bellatrix. “James! Delphi’s time turner’s spinning! We need to get out of range of any injury!” Lily says, urgently. “Follow me with Harry, Lily!” James says. Later that day, Godric’s Hollow gets destroyed by the Malfoys.”LILY, WE NEED TO GET OUT!” “James? Lily? You’re alive?” Molly says, confused. “Yup, James killed Voldemort.” Lily says. Back at the Burrow, Bill reads his letter. “Mum, Dad, can you take me to Diagon Alley to get my stuff?” Bill asks. “I‘ll have to, Bill, because your mum needs to have an ultrasound at St. Mungo’s.” Arthur replies. “Why?” Bill asks, to which Molly replies, “We think you might be getting a sibling!” On 1 September, Molly, baby Charlie, Bill and Arthur are at Platform 9 ¾. “Bye, Bill!” Molly and Arthur say as Bill gets on the Hogwarts Express. “Bye, Mum, Dad and Charlie!” Bill replies. Bill’s at Hogwarts now, and he’s just been sorted into Gryffindor. “James, while Sev and I were hanging out, he told me that you, Peter, Remus and Sirius bullied him in our time at Hogwarts. So, yes, Sev!!” Lily replies. “Lily! Hi!!” Petunia says. “Can you look after Harry while Sev and I go out for dinner please?” Lily asks. “Of course, Lily!!” Petunia replies. Meanwhile, at Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop, Severus and Lily share a cup of tea and a cake. “So, Lily, what should we do now?” Severus asks. “Well, I really should get back to Harry, it’s going to be his bedtime soon. Bye, Sev!” Lily says. “Bye, Lily!” Severus says. Lily arrives back at Number Four, Privet Drive, to pick Harry up soon after. “Lily, how was your date with Severus?” Petunia says. “Amazeballs! The atmosphere was alright, but the cake and tea we shared were amazeballs.” Lily replies. “See you soon, sis!” Petunia and Lily say together. On 1 September that year, Bill, Charlie, Molly, Arthur and baby Percy are on Platform 9 ¾ to depart to Hogwarts for Bill’s second year and Charlie’s first year. “Bye, Mum, Dad and Percy!” they say together. They’ve just arrived at Hogwarts and Charlie has gotten sorted into Gryffindor. After both Bill and Charlie have graduated, at number four, Privet Drive, Dudley sees a yellow envelope with his name addressed in green ink. “Vernon. VERNON! Our boy has a letter, the same as the ones Lily and I received in 1972 - Lily - and 1971 - me - I should know a Hogwarts letter when I see one.” Petunia says. Lily comes and gives Petunia a few Galleons for Dudley’s Hogwarts stuff. “This is from my Gringotts account, you can use it for Dud’s Hogwarts stuff.” Lily says. Dudley proceeds to come in. “Aunty Lily! How’s Harry? I’m well. I’m excited to go to Hogwarts!” Dudley says, enthusiastically. “I’m okay, Dudley, how are you?” Harry says. “Can you imagine it, Vernon? A Dursley attending Hogwarts?” Petunia says. “My boy, my son, a wizard.. Magical.. He’ll be great, you know..” Vernon says. The next day, Vernon, Petunia, Dudley, Severus, Lily and Harry go to Diagon Alley to get Harry and Dudley’s stuff. “Wands first?” Petunia asks. “Sure.” Harry and Dudley say together. Harry gets Alder, 16”, Dragon heartstring core, supple and Dudley gets Alder, 16”, Dragon heartstring core, supple. “Hmm. Two identical wands… How confusing. This has never happened in my whole wand making career.” Ollivander says.

Ron Weasley is the 6th boy in his family. What he wants more than anything is to go to Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He can't wait after his brothers told him all about the school. This is the story of him getting his Hogwarts letter.
I woke up in the afternoon. Actually, I didn’t wake up. Fred and George took my bed outside in the middle of the night and when I opened my eyes to see a garden gnome punching my legs. "Bloody Hell" I said.
After moving my bed back inside I decided to give Fred and George a piece of my mind. I found them in their room. There were a lot of explosions coming from there. "Fred!!!! George!!!!! If you don't open this door I'm gonna blast it open!!" I yelled at them. " Wow. I'm so scared" said Fred. "You gonna blast us with your wittle wand?" mocked George. They laughed. I gave up.
"Mum, did you know that I'm going to be a prefect this year? I've got the badge!" Percy said pointing to a shiny badge on his chest. "Mum, what did you make for breakfast?" asked Ginny. "Mum, Fred and George-" I started to say. "In my defense, Mum, he was-" "ENOUGH!" Mum yelled. "You have a father you know! Also Ginny, we're having eggs and bacon," Ginny was Mummy's girl.
" Dad, when is my Hogwarts letter coming?" I asked Dad later that afternoon. "Son, you can't be asking that right now. I am working, and it's very serious" "Dad, you poking a duck thing with the other thing" I said. I really didn't know what he was doing. Apparently, neither did he because the object gave a loud noise and Dad through the tool in the air. It bumped my head. "Thanks" I muttered.
Twenty minutes later the Hogwarts letters came! Percy got his first. "Oh look! I'm a prefect. What a surprise!" He said yawning. "Mum, these are some expensive books and supplies. How are you going to manage to pay for all of it?" asked Fred. "I got it," she replied. I looked through the pile of letters, throwing them everywhere. "Mum? Where's mine?" I asked her as I tried to make the pile look neat again. "That's great, Ron" she said tapping me on the shoulder. Then she turned to Ginny. "Don't worry dear. Your time will come" Merlin's Beard. I exist too!
I walked into my bedroom to read the Daily Prophet. It was hours (thirty minutes, really) until I heard a knock on my door. "Ron? It's your Mum" She didn't seem that calm, but didn't go fully mad. I walked to the door and opened it slowly.
"Fred, George, go ahead" George took out a small envelope. My eyes widened, my feet felt jumpy, and my jaw dropped. "I-I-I-I-" "Just take it, Ickle Ronniekins" mocked Fred. They both looked annoyed that they had to give me it. "My Hogwarts letter!?!?!?! You found it?! Thanks, mate!" I said excitedly, ripping the envelope open. "No. Your brothers did not find it. It was the neatest note and on the top of the pile. They took it and I caught them trying to burn it" My excited face turned into a 'seriously, did you really?' face. There was not a single drop of guilt of their faces. They beamed, and then left.
"Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts! Teach us something please, whether we be old and bald or young with scabby knees! Our head's could do with....." I sang quietly. "I am Ronald Weasley and I'm going to Hogwarts.

It was a breezy morning when I woke up. I was very tired because I was just reading late at night. I was just so exited when Mum told me that I would be getting something in the mail on Wednesday.
I ran up to my calendar to check off another day until Wednesday, when my eyes stared at the date. I was getting my mail today! I was hoping that it had something to do with the library at my school. It was always so peaceful there.
I walked downstairs to see a plate of eggs on the table. They smelled very tempting. “Did you make these?” I asked Mum, as I sat down. “Yes, Hermione dear” She said. Then she turned to Dad. “When do you think it’s coming? It’s today, right?” She looked very excited. He shrugged.
Later that afternoon I came downstairs to see Mum pacing up and down. “Mum?” I asked her. “What are you doing?” She didn’t answer me and kept pacing. I noticed Dad sitting on the couch, his hand up to his forehead. He walked up to the door, gave a small, happy sigh, and opened the door. “Come over here” He said quietly to Mum. She walked over to where Dad was standing and beamed. “Hermione,” She said slowly. “Your Hogwarts letter has arrived”.
I was very confused. “Hogwarts?” I repeated. Mum nodded. “It says where you’ll get your supplies and your school robes. Would you like to read it?” I was very excited when Mum handed me the letter. It was the best school of witchcraft and wizardry. “Hogwarts” I said quietly, but happily. “Hogwarts. School of Witchcraft and Wizardry”

It all started in the morning.
1 tawny owl arrived in the kitchen window of 12 Grimmauld Place. Our young house elf, Kreacher, was excited to grab the fancy letter with a red stamp.
Mother went to see what was all the fuss. “Master,” Kreacher said,” the letter is here!” At the time I was peeking out from the hallway.
“What letter?” I thought. Mother grabbed it and called to me. I emerged from my hiding place. “Bellatrix, I believe the Hogwarts letter has come for you,” Mother said. I grabbed the letter addressing me: To Miss Bellatrix Black, 12 Grimmauld Place. I hastily opened it and I found a Hogwarts acceptance letter. Below it was also a list of schoolbooks I needed. “Hogwarts?” I asked.

I went up to my room, thinking how it would be like to attend Hogwarts. I heard a knock on my door. “Who is it,” I called. The door opened, and I saw a shy Andromeda. She tripped on my shoe, she was always the clumsiest.
“What's that Hoggywart place?”
I replied, “Well, it's a magic school, you’ll go when you are 11.” Andromeda walked out, soon I heard crying from downstairs.
I got to the kitchen, thinking someone was hurt. All I saw was Kreacher ironing his hand. “What 's wrong?” I asked.
“Kreacher has lied to Master, Kreacher must punish himself.” I wanted to ask who, but it felt too soon. I walked to my room and started reading The Toadstool Tales, a book I very much enjoyed because when I read it to Andromeda, she would always barf. Andromeda got the blame.

And we got our letter on July 31st when we were 11
What if....
Our parents did not want us to go
So they just hid our letters or flushed them down the toilet.

GUYS I GOT MY HOGWARTS LETTER!!!!!
They probably mailed it with Muggle stamps because my mom’s a Muggle, and they don’t want to spill the secret that they’ve already found the cure to COVID-19, so they are maintaining social distancing.
