Epic Universe had a early private visiting session and obviosly looking for harry potter stuff and mostly Ilvermorny. On the online shop for $75 are faux messenger bags for Durmstrang, Hogwarts, Ilvermorny, and Beauxbaton.
But perhaps cooler is a video showing people wearing uniforms as exchange students wearing illvermorny blazers and one with an ilvermorny robe.

Would Canadian and other students from outside the U.S. be affected by certain aspects of Rappaport's Law while at Ilvermorny such as not being allowed to have a wand before attending Ilvermorny, having to leave their wands at the castle during vacations and etc., or would they be exempt since they are not from the U.S. and as such, it would not apply to them?
In America they strictly forbid having any relationship with muggles, but a muggle co-founded (with his wife) Ilvermony and that was the first wizarding school in America (and his wife was the first witch there, I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, though).
So, why would they ban any interactions with muggles when they were a part of their history?

What do you guys think would happen, if like, Harry ended up in Camp Half-Blood/Jupiter or if Percy ended up in Hogwarts/Ilvermorny?

Where the heck is Illvermony in North America? Asking because I have a small rp plan
the houses would be similar to Hogwarts and Ilvermorny
For all the Slytherin out there, if you attended Hogwarts and were indeed place in Slytherin House, do you think you would stay the whole 7 years? It just seems like all the other houses hate Slytherin so I feel like many children who could manage to leave may very well leave. So maybe many Slytherin would be better if they went elsewhere. Thoughts?
Do you think J.K. picked the right location for the school? If not, where do you think it would be better? I'm not from the US so I had to google Mount Greylock, but it didn't seem to me that the location of Ilvermorny is as secluded as the other wizarding schools.

I am currently working on a guide for Ilvermorny and can't quite figure out what the American counterparts for Prefects and Head Boys/Girls would be. Prefects and Head Boys/Girls are only used in British and Commonwealth schools, so it's highly unlikely Ilvermorny would use them too. I thought about something with Advisor in the name similar to Resident Advisor in universities (House Advisor) and House President since the US has Presidents as leaders. I also added a third one, Student Body President which would be the leader of the entire student body and in charge of the two positions. What do you guys think? What do you think the American counterparts of the Hogwarts Prefects and Head Boys/Girls would be?

One thing that’s always bothered me is that the Harry Potter books and movies are so British-centric, which to be fair why wouldn’t it be, it’s based on Britain and it’s a children’s book but to call Voldemort the most feared Dark Lord in the history (when let’s be honest Grindelwald was a lot more fearsome) or to call Albus Dumbledore the greatest wizard in the world has always rubbed me the wrong way.
I mean there’s a wholeeee magical world out there — for God’s sake Bill is in Egypt as a curse breaker working with ancient wards on the tombs of pharaohs and powerful hieroglyphic runes. Not to mention the fact that there must be SO many more awe-inducing mages, warlocks, sorceresses and enchanters out there. Every culture probably has their own Merlin (or Morgana) and it’s likely that Merlin probably had nothing on some other older sorceress from some civillisation in history.
Even calling Hogwarts the greatest wizarding school seems daft (let’s not get into all of the problems with Hogwarts and the influence Albus Dumbledore has had on it) when becoming an animagus, which is extremely difficult and impressive thing to do, is common place amongst students of Uagadou — who by the way use wandless magic like it’s nothing in lieu of wands.
I really wish there was more world building in the HP universe, that’s why i love fanfictions like ‘The Prince of Slytherin’ where the author fills in the gaps that Rowling left behind.
