Kendra Dumbledore

It was stated that Dumbledore understands parseltongue, a language only spoken by descendants of Salazar Slytherin. But Dumbledore is a descendant of Slytherin according to this theory.

It's confirmed not all descendants of Slytherin are parselmouths. Isolt Sayre's mother was part of the Gaunt family, who are descendants of Slytherin. She couldn't speak parseltongue but was able to understand a local horned serpent.

She had two twin daughters, Rionach and Martha. Rionach was a witch and taught defence against the dark arts at ilvermorny. It was believe she was a parselmouth and she didn't want to pass it on so that's why it was believe she was never married. Her twin Martha on the other hand was a squib who married a native no-maj.

Dumbledore's mother was said to have looked native American so it is possible that she is a descendant of Martha Steward. If this theory is true Dumbledore is also a distant relative of Tom Riddle, who is a Gaunt on his mother's side.

It's a pretty popular theory and one of the few theories I actually believe is true.

Or the Dumbledore parents, Percival and Kendra?

Or Ariana's?

Any speculation?

Okay, so I've seen a lot of people watching Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and wondering whether Grindelwald is actually telling the truth and that Credence Barebone's true identity is Aurelius Dumbledore. I myself wondered this too until I sat down and did some Thinking 101 a couple of months ago.

Alright, let's get started. So, I'm going to say this kind of blatantly (huh I don't use that word often).

Credence cannot be the brother of Albus, Aberforth, and Ariana Dumbledore.

Why?

Well, we all know that Percival Dumbledore was convicted and that he died in Azkaban. He died sometime after 1890. Credence was born in 1901, so he couldn't have been born to Percival Dumbledore and some other woman.

Also, Kendra Dumbledore died in 1899, so she couldn't have given birth to Credence if she died two years before.

Credence cannot be the son of Albus Dumbledore.

If Dumbledore had a son, there would be at least one person on the planet that would know about it. Also, there is no mention of Dumbledore having a relationship with anyone. Except of course with Gellert Grindelwald. But they wouldn't have been able to have a child.

Credence cannot be the nephew of Albus Dumbledore.

There are some rumors that Credence is the son of Ariana Dumbledore. I don't mean to be rude to anyone who believes this, but I gotta say it: that is ridiculous. Ariana was trapped inside since she was seven years old. There was no possible way that she would have been able to go out without the watch of a family member. So, you know, she couldn't have - well - yeah.

Excuse me while I take a minute and barf.

Okay, I'm back.

Also, there is no record of Aberforth Dumbledore having a relationship, so he couldn't have had a son. Of course, I might be wrong - maybe he had a secret romance. I don't know. But he would have been 17 when Credence was born, so as much as him having a son at that age could be likely, I just don't think it happened. Again, I could be wrong.

There is the possibility that Honoria, the Dumbledore children's aunt, was Percival's sister, and maybe she never got married but still had a child. Or maybe Percival had some sort of long-lost sibling that no one knew about, and he/she had a child.

But what I'm saying is that there is no way possible that Credence could be the brother of the three Dumbledore children and it doesn't seem likely that he is a child of one of the Dumbledores.

Plus, Grindelwald is a villain - why wouldn't he lie to get what he wants?

And I'm going to say this one last time: I might be wrong. I mean, JKR is JKR. We don't know what goes through that crazy brain of hers.

Key point: Credence is the son of Kendra Dumbledore and Mustafa Kama.

We know Credence is a Dumbledore but it's from his mother's side. He is the son of Mustafa Kama and Kendra Dumbledore.

Let's ponder over the timeline a bit:

1896- Mustafa's wife Laurena left him because of the imperius curse put by Corvus Lestrange Senior.

1897- Mustafa went to Godric's Hollow. I'm assuming he knew Kendra, perhaps he was her friend so went there when he was having an emotional breakdown.

Supporting this, ever wondered how Albus got in contact with Nicolas Flamel who lived in Paris? Well it indicates, the family had atleast some connections to Paris as well where Mustafa Kama used to live and thus Kendra's familiarity with him.

1898- Perhaps Kendra and Mustafa got intimate at certain point leading to Credence's birth this year.

But as we know, both Kendra and Mustafa were devoted to their spouse so they took this baby as a sign of disgrace for themselves. Mustafa left the baby and returned to Paris.

Kendra, therefore, gave this baby to Credence's aunt. All this was happening in absence of his sons who were busy at Hogwarts while Ariana was being looked after by Bathilda Bagshot. I'm taking Bathilda knew this secret.

Perhaps this act was the reason why Aunt Muriel described Kendra to be a terrible woman. She heard Bathilda saying these things when she was small and perhaps didn't entirely understand the topic. But might have taken up words like terrible or something.

1899- Credence's aunt visited Kendra who asked her to take the baby to America. Yes, she had afterall an American heritage, as the wiki notes and Harry too, so she would have sent the baby to someone she knew in America. During this visit, Ariana encountered the truth and got angry as how Kendra abandoned her brother. It resulted in a rage and the death of Kendra. But I suppose, she managed to obliviate Ariana before dying. I wonder, if this encounter transferred the Obscurus in Ariana(popular theory) to Credence.

1901- Credence's aunt took the ship to America.

I don't have lots of things to support these things but in future, I may try to find some more clues about this.
