🌈🏳️🌈For the past couple years I have gotten everyone to share their favourite lgbt headcanons and ships (which you can still do, I'm putting mine in the comments) but this year I thought I'd do something slightly different. So this year I am celebrating these six LGBT Harry Potter characters😊
Ruby Honeysuckle - I don't play Hogwarts Mystery, but I must admit I fell in love with this character. She is brave, a badass, and a healer. She also has a girlfriend named Eris Foxglove.
Corey Hayden - So technically on their own Corey isn't an lgbt character, but their gender changes whenever the player character changes their own gender, so along with needed a Gryffindor for the golden-orange stripe I do see them as being genderfluid.
Chiara Lobosca - Chiara is one of the handful of characters in Hogwarts Mystery that you can date regardless of the players gender. She will like you regardless of if you play as a boy or girl. So that and the fact werewolves were originally an allegory for gay people in Harry Potter I think firmly cements her queer status.
Merula Snyde and Tulip Karasu - Both characters are also characters who can date the player regardless of their gender, but their lgbt status goes deeper than that as they used to have a very close friendship despite being very different people, and this year former lead writer Matt London confirmed at the very least Tulip had romantic feelings for Merula (and hey, the game isn't finished yet, who know what the future holds).
Simon Talmadge - Simon is a ghost from the 1820s that can be found in the late 2000s. He loved Potions, Charms, and Art, and when he was alive he had a huge crush on Gwydion Idris who stood up for him and the two boys loved spending time with one another.
(And yes in my time zone it isn't June 1st yet, but it is passed midnight in Harry Potter's home of UK so it counts, I just was to excited to wait!)
