i was reading up on harry potter plotholes and this seems to be a very popular one.
yes it does seem very useful in ensuring that he is not betrayed but i seen theories as to why it never happened.
some people say that it shows weakness disloyalty and voldy does not like that. there is also the possibility of voldy dying and he was scared of dying.
I am wondering what would have been the plot like if Voldemort had taken an unbreakable Vow from Severus to always do his bidding and never working against him or on Dumbledore's side?

As we are introduced to th unbreakable vow in the HBP as Severus Snape and Nercissa Malfoy perform it.
Why didn't Lord Voldemort make each one of his death eaters make an unbreakable vow to show their allegiance to the Dark Lord?
We know Snape made an unbreakable vow to Narcissa while Bellatrix made the bond between them.
Now, my question is what if the bonder(in this case Bellatrix) dies? Will the oath still work? What will happen to the maker(Snape) of the oath?
Or Will it work like the fidelius charm? Like when the secret keeper dies then all other known users of the place become the secret keeper in return.
Does the role of a bonder similar to secret keeper?
