<p>I'm not really talking about Unforgivables here. While he does use the Imperius curse in Gringott's, that's a non-combat spell, and I'm fully aware that he is incapable of mustering the intent behind the Cruciatus and likely Killing curses even when he wants to. In his duel with Malfoy, second year, he has no problem using Rictusempra against him (even after being told to disarm only), then later when training DA members to use Stupefy, he calls it "the wizard's bread and butter" indicating that it is one of the most commonly used offensive spells. He has also been shown later to know at least Reducto, Incendio, and even a highly offensive spell of Snape's own making, Sectumsempra. Now cut to any time he's been in a real life and death struggle with Voldemort, and he falls on Expelliarmus, one of the, if not THE, least damaging combat spells in his arsenal. It just doesn't make sense that he'll use stronger spells against someone NOT trying to kill him, and lesser ones against someone that is.</p>

<p>This is probably one of those "sciences" that had a study where a good Samaritan liked Harry Potter and someone jumped to a conclusion that liking Harry Potter made you good.</p><p>
</p><p>Actually reminds me of a news story where the title was "Smart Car Causes Crash While Occupants Watch Harry Potter" or something along those lines. Now from that title, you'd think that that it was blaming Harry Potter caused the crash rather than the car itself, but all it is is a coincidence being stretched into a truth.</p><p>

<p>I would probably use something other than Expelliarmus. That's the one thing I never understood, Harry knows all these hexes, jinxes, and curses that stun, maim, and otherwise cause bodily harm, but he goes for disarm every time. I don't expect Harry to pop a Killing Curse, but something a little more offensive would have been smarter.</p><p>

<p>Personally, I would dress up as Voldemort and run through the halls of Hogwarts and terrorize the hell out of her. Either that, or something similar to the Fred and George method. That, as Ron would say, was "bloody brilliant."</p><p>

<p>Because I believe that a duplicated item is considered a conjured item. And conjured items by nature are temporary and will eventually disappear, whether by command (due to a Finite spell) or due to the course of time. This is why conjured food offers no sustenance, you may try to eat it, but it doesn't actually exist, therefore provides no energy for your body and doesn't sate hunger. The same law applies to Tranfiguration spells as well. You can turn a rock into something else, but it will eventually turn back into a rock. Now, in your mind you're probably having a thought like "but the feasts in the Great Hall in Hogwarts appears out of nowhere, why doesn't this apply?" and the answer to this is that it isn't conjured. It's real food prepared in the kitchens and then magically transferred to the tables.</p><p>

<p>Yes, I do hate her. And that in itself is testament to how well written she was. Out of all the villains in the series, she is the only one that I felt so intensely about. Bellatrix, Lucius, Draco, even Voldemort himself, were all too cookie-cutter for me to take seriously as enemies.</p><p>

<p>I've had this idea for a long time that I haven't done anything with, in a post-Voldemort world where Harry, filling in as DADA teacher, coaches a team from Hogwarts participating in a Tri Wizard Tournament style competition between schools from all over the world. Kind of like a magic Olympics consisting of various events like Quidditch, duel tournaments, and Blitz Ball, a sport derived from a "muggle video game". I just want there to be more of the world. That's why I like Goblet of Fire and Fantastic Beasts so much, it opens up more possibilities than just what's going on in Jolly Ol' England.</p><p>

<p>I don't think they're removed, just not seen. The battles take place in the main courtyard, which is the front entrance to the school, while the training grounds are in the rear.</p><p>
