Hi all. As you may notice, I don't have the MOD tag on my name anymore (or I guess I do? But I can assure you I've lost my MOD powers like deleting posts and such). I'm resigning. I've already sent a message to CosmicChronos (who I trust to inform the rest of the MOD team) and self-removed my moderation rights. You can go to his talk page on the wiki if you want to read my reasons, I don't want to type them out again. Long story short, it's the new rules and the fact that I don't agree with them or want to enforce them.
As part of my resignation, I'm also not going to be posting here anymore. So this is goodbye. I don't know any of you very well, but I've posted enough I felt this message was warranted. I will still be on the wiki as an editor, I'm just not going to be posting on Discussions. So maybe I'll see some of you around sometime.
Lupin's parents and the circumstances of him becoming a werewolf are well-documented. Besides, Lupin has brown hair, not red. I also wouldn't call exposing your class to potentially dangerous magical creatures (albeit in a controlled environment) "easy".
The only similarity I can see that Lupin has with the Weasleys is that he's poor, and that's because he couldn't keep a steady job (and he's far poorer than they are anyway).
Ah, finally found it. You -can- post what house you are in the thread linked below, if you so wish.

As Side-Along Apparition can be used to transport individuals of lesser magical ability, such as children or those that simply never learned to Apparate, it can also apparently be used to transport Muggles/No-Majs. I don't think it necessarily needs to be a hint he has magical blood.

It's up to you to form your own opinions on what you think about the characters. As for how he is written, Draco isn't intended to be a nice guy, but he also regrets and reforms from his Death Eater ways.
Lol you guys. If I have good advice to give about getting angry and freaking out for no reason, it's because I've done it far too often myself.
Ah, don't beat yourself up. Everyone loses their cool from time to time. It doesn't make you an idiot or a bad person or any of the other things you've been saying.
I think you've both said things you might regret. Ginny, you've apologized, and that's good. Gage, if you're still here, I'd like to see you either apologize as well or at the very least acknowledge Ginny's apologies.
Then let's all move on. I'm also considering this a last warning for both of you to remain civil and polite in the future.
Some of my favorite characters are Luna, Sirius, and Snape. A bit obscure, but I also really like Zygmunt Budge from Wonderbook: Book of Potions. I watched a playthrough of the game to research it for the wiki and I really enjoyed his character, far more than the boring nameless professor from the first Wonderbook.
Let's keep things civil guys. I feel things are getting a bit tense here.

Please note that this is a wiki. Simple questions should be searched for first. Please consult our (somewhat outdated) article on Pottermore.

@Lilac28102001 - Memories can be altered, especially by someone as magically skilled as Dumbledore. Or at least that's the excuse that Fudge would have given. He covered up a lot of evidence of Voldemort being back until he was outright forced to admit it.

You can resist the effects of Veritaserum, so it's not 100% reliable. Besides, the Ministry is corrupt. They were only interested in an open and shut case and had basically already decided Sirius was guilty before looking at any evidence.
As others have said, Rowling has said that all the other Potters were dead by the time of Lily and James's death. I would imagine that there likely were distant Potter relatives still alive (technically every pureblood wizard would be a distant relative of his), but they weren't close enough in relation to Harry to count for the bond of blood needed to protect him.

Note that we only allow posts that promote serious discussion. This is obviously just an inconsistency caused by referencing a book-only event in the film, and I think you know that. Leaving this open for welcome messages only.
I went ahead and removed it. I think it was added by an editor who thought the crosses were T's or didn't know how to write a cross and thought a T would be good enough. We don't considered Pius's death in the film to be canon, so there shouldn't be a cross next to his name.
Thanks for bringing it up!
I probably don't care enough to do anything about since it's not hurting anything, but posting just for the sake of posting is probably technically spam, even here in the OT thread.
