In Deathly Hallows, we see Hermione obliviate herself from the memory of her parents. When she does this, she’s only erasing the memory of her from her parents minds. However, extended family, neighbors and/or friends aren’t obliviated. How would it be ensured that no one brought her up to her parents? Someone would probably eventually bring it up at some point

I’m not sure what the alternative would’ve been. Maybe just leaving it in GoF with Hermione and Krum. Either stopping where JKR did or having them pursue a relationship (long-distance, I guess?). Really, anyone other than Ron or Harry, would’ve been fine with me.

One of my favorite things about the HP trio was that there was such a genuine friendship between two boys and a girl with no love connection (obviously until the last few books.) Girls and boys can be friends without ever getting into a relationship with each other - unfortunately, there’s not a lot of that happening in *literature.
JKR deciding that Ron and Hermione should get together romantically was one of the biggest disappointments (in my opinion - really don’t like Ron though) in the entire series.

I was so happy when I saw Ron leave and then he came back and it was disappointing.
If I were Hermione I would’ve told him off. I would’ve told him that he was a whiner and that growing up would do him some good. I’d tell him to go for a walk and then, after he pouted and cried for a little while, I’d take the locket and bippity boppity boo away with my good ol’ pal, Harry.
I always used to say that Goblet of Fire was my favorite movie and then I read the book. There were so many things that happened in the book that didn’t make it into the movie. Like Hermione creating S.P.E.W., Winky, the backstory behind the Crouch family, etc.
What do you wish had made it into any of the movies that stayed in the books?
Maybe that’s why he’s such a brat. He doesn’t want to have his hair gelled back but his Father (who will probably hear about this) thinks slicked back hair is cool.
If I’m not mistaken, that would be too far back for someone to go with a time turner. From my understanding, you only want to go a small ways back so you can pick up where you left off (like Hermione and Harry did in PoA.) For someone to use a time turner to go back and ‘fix’ Tom Riddle when he was so young, it would probably cost them a few years. They might leave being 20 years old and come back 40.
Preventing every death that Voldemort is responsible for would be impossible. Not only do we not know the exact number of his victims but you’d also have to take into account that a majority of the total death count at the end of Voldy’s reign was done by his followers.

In PoA, Harry uses lumos while reading a book. Why is it that he doesn't get in trouble for that when he's still underage?

I think if JKR made it into an actual book instead of just a screenplay/play (I haven't seen the play though) it would be so much better. The screenplay just seemed a little dry.
Bellatrix. She's so dark and twisted but so unfortunately loyal to Voldy.
I think it was because Creedence was in such a suffocating house. His adopted mother was so intensely against wizards and witches and he was so desperate to hide that part of him so he wouldn't give his 'mom' another reason to have him beaten.
Harry just didn't know what the hell was going on. He didn't know that witches and wizards were even a real thing so he didn't think he had anything to suppress.
(Which I now realize is the exact same thing 'Fred and i' said...)
