Hello there, I would like to submit my resignation for the post of D-Mod, due to personal reasons. It's been an amazing journey with you here and working here is one of the best things that happened to me, especially with the supporting colleagues. I wish you guys all the best and good health.
I'll say the people I have in mind are CHT64 and Jimbob Daddario Directioner Herondale-Blackthorn. Both of them contributed a lot to the D-board and both of them are good with people. And they do not engage in aggressive discussions.
Me too, I think 2 new mods would be perfect
XD
Lol I'm seeing a lot of Drarry fans
Aww ikr...
And yeah, I agree with both of you...
@Shreevallabh Saraswati I see your point but I do feel such a huge franchise would be nice if it included the community too..I mean almost everyone reads the books and it can create a great impact on people. I mean, we need to normalise these facts.
Whoa Wiz, that's a good one
@Shreevallabh Saraswati Well, everything is important. Women's freedom, accepting LGBTQIA+ and much more. Well, if she didn't include this in a children's book, and then suddenly adds the facts, what is the point? My point is that children learn about the community and cultural diversity because personally, in my past, for a short while, I've been bullied for my cultural background and I've seen people feel odd and left out when they find out they don't seem to love a person of another gender. If it's mentioned in the books, it automatically gets normalised. Also, I'm saying is that the representation shouldn't be pushed into the series. It should be just there, along with the others, so that it's considered normal, not a thing to pick up and view differently.
@AlwaysAugust.13 Well, I agree most books don't have it, but I'm saying that it should be normalised. Also, it is kinda a huge deal to the community because everyone wants to feel included and the books don't have a single mention of it...
Well, what she did seems forced. And I said already that it shouldn't be forced. It should be represented naturally, like the other things. But, we know now that JKR's transphobic and she seemed to offend the community continuously via twitter, so expecting representation from her is a moo point.
@K Kraken Well, your point doesn't seem to match with your first argument, no offence.
The release period is the time when the books were published. LGBTQ is not a bad thing and everyone should be aware of it. Hear Me OuT here, I am not against Children Knowing LGBTQ and getting exposed to it.
I say that's fine but your first argument contradicts this, no offence.
She just wanted to spice things up more and wanted the readers to read the books in a different perspective
Here, you're getting it wrong again. The community and representation of it is not to be used as a catalyst to make people read. It must be present there, along with the book and not be differentiated. Not having diversity in the books and then adding something to it just for the sake of it is completely odd.
What do you mean by release period? Why can't the community be expressed regardless of time? And the Children's book explanation you said makes no sense because representation of LGBTQIA+ is not a crime. Children can know that loving the opposite gender isn't only the kind of love, and gender fluid friends can be proud of themselves. I actually feel that if this community is expressed, then kids can grow up without doubt of themselves. I've seen many people who feel odd when they realise they aren't straight. That's not fair, they have every right to feel normal and your "logic about Children's book" isn't helping here. On the contrast, they can know about the community and feel belonged if the books had representation. And we're not only talking about Dumbledore's sexuality. JKR would have done something with any other couples/pairings and given more representation, in sexuality and also in cultures. There is very less cultural diversity in the books.
I completely agree with Memes. Also, I'd like to say @K Kraken , there's so such thing as a time to express Gayness. LGBTQIA+ people exist now and existed even back then. It is important that their feelings are considered too, and they don't feel left out. Also, Harry Potter isn't only for "straight" people. And representation is necessary in order to make everyone feel included. Also, may I ask you Kraken, why can't LGBTQIA+ representation be in a "Children's book"? Are you saying children can't have a book representing the community just because they might get exposed to it? What if they get exposed to it? It's not a bad thing. In contrast, I think it's good to let children know of the community and learn to respect it.
If Wormtail was there, I'll vote him out, without a doubt
Aww Fluffy looks adorable
I don't wanna oppose your opinion but I'll say that Wormtail is a coward who betrayed his friends. He's anything but loyal. I actually like Bellatrix over Pettigrew because she was loyal at least.

And now to answer the question, I really like the Fantastic Beasts series. It's confusing at times, but I really feel good watching that
Whoa guys, stay on topic
And @TbhILikeAllGames I had a crush on Wood too! How did I even forget to include him to my list? xD
