as a human, you can still learn some languages of animals. parseltongue, gobbledegook, mermish and gigantus are examples of some. they can be learned completely or learned just so you understand, or it can be a heritable trait. animagi can talk to animals, as sirius and mcgonagall with crookshanks.
he didn’t have one but if he did it would be a ferret, not just because he got turned into one but because it also suits his personality (cowardly, resourceful etc.)

muggleborn - two muggle parents
pureblood - anyone with at least the generations of two magical parents (e.g harry’s grandkids assuming his kids married purebloods)

he can’t produce one, however if he could it would most likely be a snake. the only death eater capable of producing one is snape, however i believe draco would be able to produce one in later life (hopefully a ferret haha)
well its my personal belief that each founder made their own room ie hufflepuff and the kitchens, ravenclaw and the room of requirement etc.

it is also most likely that zachariah smith was the heir of hufflepuff, considering hepzibah smith was, and it is likely that they are related considering the same last name and that they zachariah was in hufflepuff (also may explain his cockiness?)

its possible for things like a unicorn or dragon - as they can be patronuses, but not something like a werewolf or veela - remus’ patronus was a wolf, not a werewolf
so he could see his memories in the pensive, causing him to realise snape was on dumbledores side all along
