Yeah... but they also did that in philosophers stone when Hermione fixed the glasses and in PoA when harry cast ‘lumos’. It’s just what the directors do to give the film more dramatic effect.

Yeah, we also do Icas and cats tests, but those would be more end of year exams. GCSE’s could be NEWT’s and A-levels OWLs or it could be like you said.^^

I’m British, and I know the GCSE students only need to be in school for lessons/ exams they have. It’s exam season now so we have them coming in at like 12. I know one had 27 exams and one had like 17, they get free time if they took less/ easier classes. So yeah, they’d just get free periods.

Also, A-levels are the optional ones, but you need them for most universities/jobs, sort of like newts.
