In the game the owner of the potions shop in hogsmeade is parry pippin. Since the game came out I’ve wondered if his name was a reference to Peregrine (Pippin) Took from the Lord of The Rings. I’ve looked online and found nothing about it.
I honestly felt like his first name parry was too close to Pippin’s full name of peregrine to be a coincidence

Ok so this has annoyed me for years, how come in the books Remus just turned up dead in the great hall and he gets a passing mention. Like after POA Lupin was a pretty big part of the series, after Sirius died he was the last of the marauders and the person who was closed to James. He had an important connection to Harry, while there weren’t as close as Harry was to Sirius, They still had a strong bond, Lupin even made Harry godfather to his child. And still Lupin didn’t get a death scene while every other marauder got a death scene.
James kind of got a death scene because we know exactly what happened to him with how his wand out of reach and he still tried to fight Voldemort and we know Lilly’s last words and her actions that ended up saving Harry (but Harry was also a baby so the lack of information is excusable). After that Sirius fell through the veil in front of Harry for us to read. Then finally Wormtail got a death scene when his magic hand choked him to death in front of Harry. Yet with Lupin we only know that dolohov killed him. I’m just saying he deserved a death scene.
For me personally it’s “the beetle at bay” purely because of how much second embarrassment I get when reading about Harry and Cho’s date. For me it is the not the worst chapter but the most uncomfortable one which makes hate reading it.
Mine personally is that the fantastic beasts movies are actually really good and I would rather watch them than the Harry Potter movies (but not the books, the books will always reign supreme) , also I get this isn’t the most controversial thing, I just don’t have that many unpopular opinions when it comes to Harry Potter
They can also just shoot him/blow him up or dodge him because of their reflexes and their jet packs

Two highly trained bounty hunters who show no fear and are very intelligent versus a whiney ferret boy
What are some changes or omissions from the book, in the movies that annoyed you?
If it was up to me I wouldn’t personally kill her, but if she did die I wouldn’t be upset
Snape Snape Severus Snape, DUMBLEDORE!!!….that’s my answer to this question
I mean if you think about Snape’s two main goals in school were to join a cult that attempted genocide and to date Lily (who was literally one the people who would be hunted but whatever), I think you could give James a pass for bullying Snape considering his future goals of joining the most evil sounding cult imaginable, even if his methods are beyond messed up. But it’s the fact that (I think) he bullied other Slytherins just the fact that they are in Slytherin which made him gain more of a dark side.
I was. I think I just misunderstood what you meant.
Well, if it’s an obsession with a person then yes it’s always bad, if it’s an obsession with a series like for instance Harry Potter and it doesn’t ruin your entire social/professional/family life then I think an obsession could be alright as long as it doesn’t go too far
There is no character/person (especially in Harry Potter) who is pure good or evil (apart from maybe Voldemort). While Lily was definitely more good then others, she also could have done some iffy things that we aren’t aware off
I think it started out as an obsession on chamber of secrets, but then after Harry saved Ginny from the chamber and she saw more of who he was, then it became genuine love.
Snape had such an healthy obsession with Lily. His need to be with her made it so he basically bullied Harry for 7 years until his death, but then in the Snape pensive scene we are showed how he started to care for Harry only when he was told that Harry would only live until his usefulness ran it’s course. Why people think his love for Lily and his sudden care for Harry redeems him, I will never know. If anything that makes it worse
I think Richard Harris played a Dumbledore more accurate to the books, but it’s also hard to see him dueling Voldemort in Order of the Phoenix or him fighting the Inferi in Half-Blood Prince. I feel like Gambon’s more volatile performance made him doing more overtly powerful magic was more believable than if Harris preformed in those events with his cheerful and calm demeanor.
