Am I understanding this correctly ?
The Peverill brothers bested Death and ended up with the Deathly hallows. 2 of their 3 hallows - the resurrection stone and invisibility cloak were handed down to heirs over time. The stone was set in a ring that ended up with Morphen Gaunt and the cloak ended up with Harry.
Wouldn’t that make Harry and Voldemort distant cousins or something? 🤔
@Helga1234 @Yeahsure19 know it sounds crazy but when I really like something I’m reading I’ll pull out all the stops! I become totally engrossed and will miss work, and all my other responsibilities - not leave my house !!! I’m totally obsessive!! I have now read them all (my kids used copies), listened to some of all the series on Audible (Jim Dale does an AMAZING job narrating!!! 💕💕💕) AND I just purchased my first ILLUSTRATED copy last night of The Prisoner of Azkaban which was my second favorite (The Deathly Hallows is my favorite) !! I debated between purchasing them in order but they are pricey so I thought I’d start with my fave 💕
I may be a complete anomaly here. I just read the books for the first time ever this year. All of the books. In under a months time. I hate myself for not ever giving into Potter Mania all those years. Now, I’ve started the books all over. It’s even better the second time around because things make even more sense and the interconnectedness of it all is BRILLIANT. JKR is a genius. Going to purchase the illustrated books next!! 💕
Ok - I’ll keep reading and look forward to the clarification in story. Could just be my limited understanding of how godparenting works in combination within a religious ceremony (baptism) and my possibly incorrect assumption that wizards/warlocks/witches are not “religious” (like Christians or Catholics) 😛
New to this forum. Started listening to Harry Potter on Audible 2 weeks ago and on book 5 now. Totally hooked!! Wondering if the idea of of Sirius Black as godparent to Harry isn’t odd to anyone else.
I thought that was a religious role that goes along with the whole baptism thing (Christianity maybe?? Not sure about other religions...)
Thanks for any input without spoilers! 💕
