She is such a BAMF. Her loyalty never wavers! She stuck with Harry throughout everything, may it be rumors of a Slytherin heir, an unplanned name from a goblet, or a slander campaign. She is having NONE of Oliver Wood’s male-centric pep talks. She captains the Gryffindor Quidditch team with UTMOST grace and understanding, but also with appropriate sternness. She doesn’t bat an eye at Pansy Parkinson’s racist comments, instead focusing on beating the Slytherins into the ground at Quidditch. All in all, ANGELINA IS THE QUEEN WE ALL ASPIRE TO BE.

I haven’t posted here in a while, so I thought I’d just post this thing I drew. My art is so much different than when I first got my drawing tablet and started posting here!!
In my opinion, Snape was just obsessed with Lily. No love about it. If he loved her, he would’ve begged Voldemort to spare her entire family, not just her. He was perfectly fine with Harry, a baby, dying, along with his father, just because James was an - during his early teenage years. He explicitly said such to Dumbledore. If the Longbottoms had been chosen to be slaughtered, Snape would’ve sat back and watched. He’d never tell Dumbledore. So why does him doing so when Lily is threatened redeem him in any way? He was infatuated with her to a creepy extent solely because she was the only person who tolerated him and his racist bullshit, besides his little Death Eater friends. I get heated when this topic arises, because seriously, how do people sympathize with him? A grown man who abused Neville to the point where he was his worse fear, his boggart? A grown man who belittled and verbally abused Harry relentlessly because he looked like his childhood bully? A grown man who essentially told Hermione that she had walrus teeth, causing her to permanently shrink them? I’m sorry, but being infatuated with Lily doesn’t redeem him in my eyes.

It wasn’t that I had an issue with him being gay at all, I think his backstory with Grindelwald and their mutual love for each other was very interesting. I was just very irritated by the fact that she didn’t have the guts to say he was gay until the books were all released. She really pussied out of it.

It’s a close tie between OotP and GoF for me. I love OotP for the complex plot when it comes to Harry’s PTSD and his relationship with Sirius, as well as the Umbridge taking over Hogwarts and corrupt government, etc., but GoF had such crazy foreshadowing and a killer plot twist, and the entire tournament ruled.
Totally agree. I adore Harry Potter but I cannot stand Rowling, she is so desperate to be seen as this progressive revolutionary of YA fiction, she cant admit that the HP books are a product of their time. Don’t get me started on the lame cop out that was Dumbledore’s coming out, or how she wrote the origins of American wizarding. She treats the Native mages as savages who were taught so much by the invading colonists (i.e. they were introduced to wands, taught of wizarding schools, etc). She also treats them like a single ethnic group, when there are/were innumerable distinct tribes and cultures before Christopher Columbus, and later the English, invaded and enslaved/slaughtered them. Indigenous Americans are not one single culture...

Prisoner of Azkaban, hands down, followed closely by Order of the Pheonix. I LOVE Guillmero Del Toro, he made one of my favorite movies, The Shape of Water.
Why does Ilvermorny have houses? It doesn’t make much sense, I’ve never come across an American school with houses. Then again, everything Rowling’s wrote on American wizardry sucks. Ever read the stuff she wrote about Indigenous American mages? Horrendous and white-washing.

Mixed Blood, not half blood or pure blood.
Half blood implies that one of your parents is muggle/muggleborn, and another has wizarding family going back a generation or so. Mixed blood is more ambiguous.
Breonna Taylor was an award-winning EMT and aspiring nurse who was murdered by police during a raid on her apartment. The raid was ‘justified’ by the fact that her ex boyfriend, a convict, was having his mail delivered there. The cops believed this to be evidence that drugs were being processed there. The police, who forced their way into her apartment without audible warning, were in civilian clothing and were not identifiable as law enforcement. Her boyfriend, Kenneth, fired his gun to protect himself and his girlfriend, and in response the police fired innumerable shots into their apartment, killing twenty-seven year old Breonna. Make no mistake; this was murder.
Breonna’s family is in mourning, as is her boyfriend and many friends. She was a beloved member of her community, and had her whole life ahead of her.
The names of her murderers are Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove. Brett Hankison has been accused by multiple women of inappropriate conduct, much of which occurred while he was in uniform/on duty.
She deserves justice. Say her name. Pass it on.

Personally, my favorite Harry Potter fanfiction is Seekers of Love, a wholesome OT3 soulmate fic featuring Harry x Cedric x Cho. I adore it! It’s very diverse, with a Desi!Harry, Black!Hermione, and Jewish!Cho Chang as an actually fleshed-out character. Parvati Patil is also featured as a total sweetheart. I highly recommend this story, it’s fantastic. Here is some fan art of it made by upthehillart:

I decided to use a smoother Procreate brush for this one.
Snape... sure, he fought for the light side, but he is a horrendous person. His obsession with Lily was not love, it was an infatuation with the one person who tolerated his racist drivel. He was perfectly fine with James and Harry being murdered; he just specified that he wanted Lily spared, so Voldemort told her to step aside. He wouldn’t have joined the light if the Longbottom’s had been slaughtered, he’d’ve been rewarded for telling Voldemort of the prophecy and promoted to a high ranking in his inner circle. He abused children he was tasked with teaching and protecting, to the point where he was Neville’s BOGGART. His worst fear was his teacher! My god, he made Hermione permanently shrink her teeth through his cruelty. He mind-raped Harry in lieu of truly teaching him; it was his fault more than Harry’s that Harry couldn’t grasp oclumency.
Harry is my absolute favorite, but I LOVE Hagrid ❤️
Yeah, I think Hermione is pretty abusive. I still like her, but sending canaries to hurt Ron for finally getting a girlfriend (especially when she was going out of her way to make him jealous about Krum), permanently disfiguring Marietta Edgecomb, and trapping a woman in a jar for two weeks without food is incredibly messed up.
