Chapter 2…………..

Warnings:

1. This isn’t a fanfic that focuses on a specific ship

2. Lauren Malfoy, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Harry Potter, and some other characters are almost always gonna be the main characters in the fanfic, I’m not spotlighting side characters, if I do, it’ll only be for maybe a little bit of a chapter but idk yet

3. Lauren Malfoy is Draco’s Sister but don’t associate her with the whole canon part of what we know abt the Malfoys. Barely any of the story is gonna rely on Malfoy family canon bc I’m barely gonna talk abt if, but I will at some point

4. This takes place after the war ended, at the same time CC takes place, BUT CC AND ALL ITS EVENTS DONT EVEN exist- Hermione and Ron aren’t married, neither is Harry and Ginny, so none of them have kids-. Literally just ignore the whole CC book in this fanfic. They’re all just dating

“What- Ron- Hermione what happened?” Lauren exclaimed, looking from the pair of them

“It’s- He’s not answering our p-patronuses and-“ sobbed Hermione, but she couldn’t go on, and started crying on Ron's shoulder.

Ron finished for her, in a grim voice, “It’s Harry……Ginny and me and ‘Mione have been looking for him for 2 days now……. We were all at Three Broomsticks, when Harry says he’s going outside for some air, the rest of us stay behind, later, when we finish our drinks, we go outside and see him, he looks like someone beat him up, bruised and messed up, and he got aggressive when we asked what happened, and he tells us that he’s going to stay in Hogsmeade for a while to get things off his mind, when we tell him to stop being such a git, and we start following him, he stuns all of us and when we wake up, he’s gone.”

“We reckon he’s been Imperiused” he finally finished, with Hermione still sobbing in his shirt

“But why? The wars over, it’s not like 10 stupid death eaters are about to rule the wizarding world and what’s kidnapping Harry going to help?” Lauren said hurriedly.

Ron replied, “They might make Harry say things that are on the Death Eaters line of thought, like the idea that anyone that isn’t from a magical bloodline is rubbish or unworthy of what bloody world the Death Eaters dream of having. And what’s worse, people will listen to him, he defeated Voldemort, why wouldn’t they listen?”

Lauren thought for a moment; “If I was a death eater that kidnapped Harry, where would I take him………….” And she suddenly knew-

“What if they took him to Grimmauld Place? I mean, Hermione, you told me that you accidentally took that scum- Yaxley or whatever his name is - inside the Fidelius Charm protection right?

Hermione lifted her head up from Ron’s shoulders, looking sad and so worried she might as well not have known a question on an exam.

“Well yes, but isn’t it a long shot…………we don’t even know if who took Harry is a Death Eater.” She said sadly.

“I reckon It’s still worth a try I guess, better than hanging around here.” Ron replied gloomily.

“Should Ginny come? Who knows what’s in there, now that death eaters can get in” Lauren asked

“Yes, she cares about Harry as much as we do, plus she told us to tell her if we find out anything…..she’s been quite a little grumpy lately, now that I think about it.” Hermione said.

“Alright, how about we do this whole thing tomorrow? Better sooner than later, and I’m not even joking” Ron stated triumphantly.

“Sure” Lauren agreed.

“Shouldn’t we make a plan first?” Hermione suggested.

“Of course we should, I thought you'd gone mad when you didn’t say anything about that.” Ron said with a grin on his face.

Lets get started (this chapter is shortttttt)

Lauren walked through the suburbs, on the sidewalk, looking for the address on a crumpled piece of paper she was holding. It was midnight, and she had been called to the house because of what she understood as an “emergency”. She walked for a few minutes before finally finding the ordinary, but acceptable house. She walked to the old-fashioned door, and knocked. Seconds later, a familiar old face, a redhead old man, smiled the second he saw Lauren.

“Oh, hello Lauren, what brings you here today?” asked the man, who had a tired old face, who she knew as Mr. Granger.

“Hi, Mr. Granger, I’m just here to see Hermione. She called me and told me to Apparate here, but I ended up a little farther than I thought, not very sure why though.” Lauren said, while subconsciously thinking she has said too much; people always thought of her as a chatterbox.

She continued, “I’m sorry to wake you up at such a time, I thought Hermione would get the door……”

“Nonsense, it’s no problem, I’m sure she has a good reason for this night-time call, come inside, it’s cold out there, don’t you think?” He replied

Lauren stepped inside, and saw the house she had so many times visited. She thought, “Its strange that Hermione called me at midnight, but there must be something important…..had there been Death Eaters, trying to rally up people to bring back You Know Who?…..or was it worse, something like…..a death of a loved one” She quickly erased that image from her mind, though her thoughts became disrupted when Mr. Granger said in a whisper, “Dear, I’m going back to sleep, Hermione must be in her room, try not to make much noise….”

Finishing off with a smile, he went to his bedroom. Lauren went upstairs and knocked on Hermione’s bedroom door, when a anxious, but much rougher voice than the person who slept in this room replied, “Who is it?”

Lauren quickly pulled out her wand from her pocket, knowing that that was obviously not Hermione’s voice, and said, “Lauren Malfoy…..I’m warning you, whoever you are, I’ve got a wand and whatever you’ve done to Hermione-”

But she was cut off by a weak voice, which she instantly recognized as Hermione’s and it said, “Lauren come in, it’s fine, just come inside, I’ll explain………”

And so, Lauren turned the doorknob, and entered entered the room, to see the scene of Hermione’s face, tear stricken and worried, sitting on her bed, with Ron Weasley next to Hermione with his shoulder around her shoulders, with an anxious face himself, trying to comfort Hermione.

So I only read the beginning of CC

Then I see this:

Lot of ppl are telling me to not read CC but after seeing this I’m literally freaking out not bc it got spoiled for me but bc if I should consider CC canon at this point

I Need opinions but no more spoilers help lol

Tell me where he should go

(try your best to put the characters in the spot that’s most appropriate. For example, if Cedric has good looks, but doesn’t add much to the story, you would put him where it’s appropriate, not based on looks, not how much you like the character, etc. Just put the characters in where you think how much they contributed in the HP BOOKS (not movies since some characters don’t appear there)
