I think Dumbledore was tearing up because it hurt him that Snape still had feelings for Lily. Snape just spent 17 years defending a cause that Dumbledore wholeheartedly believed him. I think Dumbledore wanted Snape to start believing in the cause along the way. But the patronus showed Snape was still doing this for Lily rather than the cause.

I’m not saying abuse is okay-it definitely isn’t. But watching a movie that someone abusive is in doesn’t make the abuse better it's worse. I don’t think there is a problem buying something from someone who is abusive unless the money somehow makes them more abusive. Even if it’s not Depp. For instance, if someone feels that JKR is transphobic he might not want to buy a Hp book. But if JK doesn’t use that money to increase transphobia globally, there is no reason not to buy her books.
I read this article a few days ago and immediately called a friend to rant. I’m so happy to see I’m not the only one who feel this way. Depp was a phenomenal Grindelwald. He was charismatic and a great speaker. I mean, I was ready to go to the dark side with Queenie. He was alluring, polished, and beguiling. This article is just an excuse for the studio but it’s garbag because Depp portrays Grindelwald fantastically.
I think that whether or not Depp was abusive is irrelevant to if he’s a good actor. Actors should not be chosen based on their private lives. Actors should be picked because they’re good at acting: and Johnny Depp was. He was a fantastic actor. He did Grindelwald so well.
@GucciG ang2121 I didn’t say he wasn't a danger. I said he didn't take the potion once, and that was because of the most improbable of circumstances. It's highly unlikely something like that would ever happen again. Also, Remus would probably be more careful to take his potion after that incident. Additionally, he didn't hurt anyone, he ran right into the forest where students should not have been. Yeah, Lupin was a danger that not get; but it would never happen again, and he didn't even hurt anyone.
Furthermore, the point I was making was not that Remus was harmless. I was trying to explain how Snape didn't expose Lupin’s identity for the students’ safety. If that was really his concern he would’ve had Lupin removed earlier. He also wouldn't have publicized Lupin’s lycanthropy. That is if the point wasn't to embarrass Remus but to keep the children safe. Except, that wasn't Snape’s intention. His intentions were to humiliate a childhood nemesis because the nemesis’s friend escaped unjust arrest.
Can you pls elaborate on what part doesn't make sense so I can better explain myself?
@Guccigamer420 ang2121 He didn’t try to keep kids safe from a werewolf. He was frustrated from losing the opportunity of being viewed as a hero for having Sirius his childhood nemesis arrested; despite Sirius having just proven his innocence. And he took it out on Sirius’s friend Remus. Remus wasn’t a danger to the students he took Wolfsbane Potion every month to remain docile. And the one time he didn’t was only because of one-in-a-million circumstances.
The only reason he did the good things were because he was loyal to Dumbledore. And Snape was only loyal to Dumbledore because he promised himself to Dumbledore if Dumbledore took steps to protect Lily.
Let’s be honest, we all chose the character we hate most.
I pressed pureblood, but I think JKR said muggle norms always have magical ancestry. So upon further speculation I’m going to say muggleborn.
My friend and I were discussing it. It wasn’t that they had romantic tension in the book, but that we can see them together.

That was Voldemort who had no qualms any killing ppl. Of a society killed weak babies they probably wldnt kill mothers who got in their way, just somehow remove the moms from the situation.
But they probably don't kill mothers who got in the way. They likely just stunned the moms.
We can't trust the ppl of our world with magic
You can't ask the Hp fandom that. I mean...
