They are not banning people who are being frequently openly homophobic. And, they want us to be “open-minded” towards the “differing opinions” of homophobes.
The mods need to make it clear where they stand. Because right now it seems clear to me they are not taking hate speech seriously and are in fact giving a TON of leniency to homophobes.
Simply closing a post isn’t good enough.
It got nasty because of one specific person. That person has a history of hate speech in this forum and they need to be banned.

I’m sure there’s a threshold that would breach your level of tolerance for other peoples’ “opinions”.
What if someone came in here and said something like, “I don’t understand xxx race. I don’t know anyone from that race, so I don’t really understand their culture. And I don’t think we should be race-mixing with them.”
An exaggerated analogy, perhaps; but nevertheless expresses that surely an opinion isn’t just “harmless” when it comes to publicly declaring that an entire group should be marginalized.
