No, Snape hated Harry because he got to live instead of Lily. He was disgusting and selfish.
Just that wasn't not the reason why he hated Harry, but oh well anyways.
At the moment Voldemort was about to kill Lily, he was only concerned with her survival and he didn't think or care about the others which is true, but he didn't exactly offer them up on a silver platter. After Dumbledore calls him out on it he did say 'hide them all' and he asked Voldemort to spare Lily when the entire family was marked for death either way. On that note, Snape was already taking a huge risk in asking for Lily's life. She was everything Voldemort hated, a muggle born Order member. It's amazing Snape wasn't killed on the spot for that request and after that he still went to Dumbledore, fully expecting to get killed in that meeting. He wanted to die after Lily's death. From his perspective, he fu£k€d up but did everything he could to rectify that by going to Dumbledore and spying on the Death Eaters for a year only to fail anyway. He even says 'I thought you were going to keep her safe' like he could easily have given Dumbledore the finger and committed suicide but he didn't. After Lily died, the only part of her that was left was Harry and he devoted the rest of his life to 'protecting' while bullying and being very rude to him.
Now if Lily never died, he would most likely remain as a death eater, but it never did happen and there's other explaination and an entire debate for that. He stalled Dumbledore's curse, protected Draco and also Neville, Luna, Ginny and other students from the Carrows which is without taking his spying or protecting Harry into account. The line 'only those whom I could not save' in Deathly Hallows illustrates his regret in not being able to save more people, and it shows how much he's changed from the first war where he is solely concerned about Lily.
When Voldemort returned again, Snape went back to him. He didn't have to. He once again spends the next two years looking Voldemort in the eyes and lying repeatedly about the Order, Harry and his own loyalties. If Voldemort even had the slightest inkling about his true allegiance, he would have tortured and painfully disposed of him. He was probably scared every time he met Voldemort, but he did it anyway even though he didn't personally gain anything by it. That's an brave and heroic thing to do in my opinion, but without changing the fact that he was also a horrible and a cruel person. His final act is to give Harry, the boy he spent his whole life protecting, directions on going to his death, cuz that's what needed to happen to save the wizarding world. Again he could have been selfish which he always was and tried to save Harry for Lily, but he also understood Harry's death was necessary.
The quote mentioned above says it all. I don't believe he cared for Harry either, but let's face it, he would never have admitted he cared about Harry after all those years of hatred. He only managed to confess to Dumbledore that he still did it for Lily but anyways.
Hey there, I'm sorry that you had to go through all that, it might have been really tough, and I hope you don't ever have to go through bullying again. I have tried for years to explain to people why I identify with Severus and you articulated it for me better than I ever could have. I feel bad, you should never, ever be treated like that over a fictional character, ever. I wish you all the best going forwards.
My favourite character is dead (both character and actor) so I guess a casket or flowers or something?
Pure Blood if all or at least four of their grandparents are magical, and if not or at least one from four of their grandparents aren't magical or a muggle, then Half Blood. If two squibs have a magical child, their blood status should depend on the blood status of their grandparents who, by definition of a squib, are magical.
Gryffindor- Remus
Ravenclaw- Luna
Hufflepuff- Newt
Slytherin- Snape
Could you then perhaps check your message wall in the Stranger Things wiki?
@Yvy Xie Tbh, I don't know if I really am able to help with anything but if you ever need to talk, you can message me anytime [edited]
Prisoner of Azkaban
@Hazard18 that's pretty accurate
I misclicked, well I'd be fine either way I guess and it wouldn't really matter
Hi, we already have an official post where you can share your House and other similar information, and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask in the Ministry of Moderation post, thank you!
Interesting, and that he's beyond of any of these house and he is in his league of his own is literally so true which says it all and perfect enough to be exact about his character like that is so accurate seriously and no more further explaination needed. But here's mine anyways I suppose:
So he's very consistent and ambitious and all the glory kills, his mannerisms and the way he reloads, like there's so much emotion packed into every single thing he does and every small detail of his fit into Slytherin definitely first off. But not only that, he's also been shown to be intelligent and thoughtful for example, when he's about to destroy the Vega, he pauses for a second, infers, comes up with a backup, and then destroys it whether this was out of pity for Vega, or because he thought ahead and realised Vega might be needed again has yet to be seen, so Ravenclaw as for second. Except these, he does fit in Gryffindor also for the displays of human characteristics who's willing to think about the big picture, he cares about the lives of the innocent and he's not some brainless brute like you might expect from a series like that, another one is for when he's about to destroy the Argent filters, but Hayden says to wait. He hears out Hayden's explanation, decides it's bullcrap, and then crushes the filter. Besides this, not in a million year I could see him being in Hufflepuff or something, and ofc he's in his own league which is beyond everything combined.
He gives off a lot of Slytherin vibes but he could be in Ravenclaw also, or reasonablely in Gryffindor as well I suppose but he has no business in Hufflepuff at all.
I love the first one so much and this is truly one of the best gifts I've ever seen like it's so amazing and Happy Birthday!
Eh, we don't even know the reason of what caused him to change and every source of this entire thing is biased. Most people like him because we know not so much about him and he's one of those characters who you can make do literally about anything head canon wise and it'll be alright because we basically know nothing at all and ofc people love coming up with Marauders content because of that reason. But you know every bad and worse thing about Snape, like the worst one imaginable ever to exist with solid evidence and proof that every single Marauders lovers and Snape haters love to show then explain and make Snape the bad guy here. Thus, Snape is easily the most despicable and loathsome guy in the series and James is good and the best one out here.
Dean Thomas
For some reason, Snape is exactly how I would have reacted if it were me instead of him in here except the last part lol and by the way, this is great!
Idk what's great about her anyways lol
Ikr and although I suppose I like her as a character in real I wouldn't really want to be friends with her if I had the chance
She's quite overrated and for some reason I liked book Luna more, wasn't that much of a fan of her in the movies.
