Disclaimer: I love Lavender but she's gae for Parvati. Cmon guys. We know this.
Ron and Lavender are... ugh. Rovender is very toxic. Toxic doesn't mean mentally or physically abusive, toxic can also mean controlling, pushing, and clingy. Here's a breakdown
There is a happy couple and they are totally in love! their names are Jenny and Ivan. Jenny sees that Ivan has a female friend he hangs out with. She tells him to stop hanging with that friend, and even makes attempts to lie and say he hates her now to her face. She also notices Ivan has a male friend. She makes him push that friend away or "ILL BREAK UP WITH YOU!!!!". Red flag alert! Soon, Ivan has no one left except her. Yeah, also snogging isn't the basis for a relationship, sorry.

Love potion theory
-------------------
No.
Just because the she smelt her future husband in the a potion, does not mean that she had drank love potion.
That’s frankly ridiculous.
Amortentia and Love potion are two different things. Smelling someone in the love potion indicates that she was attracted to Ron Weasley. (She didn’t say it was Ron, but the author did afterwards. So yes, she smelt Ron Weasley.) It doesn’t necessarily mean that she was under the effect of love potion.
Some one under the effect of love potion would act weird. One second, they’d be perfectly normal, then the next second, as the effect starts to kick in, they’d proclaim, out of no where, that they are ‘in love’.
As you can see, the person would immediate proceed to take action and reach their ‘beloved’.
"No. Can you introduce me?"
Ron after drinking a love potion.
So, for someone like Hermione, who is pining for half the series, making frankly terrible attempts to get Ron jealous, and sending canaries clawing at his face, she it doesn’t look like she was under the effect of love potions.
Oh, and let’s not forget about DH! Of course, Ron Weasley, while on a run, suffering from blood loss after splinching, and in a pretty sour mood, would have a presence of mind to secretly feed Hermione love potions!
How is he even getting those from? I mean, do the Ron-bashers who believe in this love potion theory think that Ron has his own version of Hermione’s bottomless handbag and is lugging around a lifetime supply of love potions on the go?
Forgive me if I find that totally unbelievable.
Also, didn’t Ron leave for a couple of chapters? Ron-bashers aren't going to forget that, are they? That’s there No.1 evidence when it comes to proving Ron’s supposed disloyalty. So how do they think Ron fed Hermione the love potion when he’s not even there with her?
I’d also like to add that the Weasleys refused to money from Harry. If they are going such length to get Harry’s mountain of wealth, why didn’t they just take it when Harry offered it. Saves a lot of trouble, doesn’t it?
So, no, they aren’t given love potions by the Weasleys.
Hermione and Ron forsuree
(question i answered on Quora)
Honestly, it’s just double standards. mixed with hypocrisy.
Looking at some of the answers on here kinda proves the point made in the question. Ron is held to a standard that Hermione is never held against. He’ll always be in the wrong, even when he was the one who was physically assaulted.
A few people say that Hermione’s assault was justified and Ron deserved it, but it’s totally OOC so it doesn’t matter anyway. I don’t understand the need to brush over Hermione’s glaring, ugly flaws and paint them as inaccurate. Can we please allow this character to have flaws?
We know Hermione is a highly emotional, physically affectionate, she cries easily and has sometimes has a short temper and can show displays of dubious, irrational behaviour (remember her and Draco)- her attacking Ron in a fit of rage isn’t unlikely, though it isn’t justified.
If you were to ask those same fans if Ron would be in the wrong for attacking Hermione- resulting in her bleeding- for asking out Cormac, it’s obvious what answer we’d get. We’d get cries of abuse and domestic violence and Ron would considered the worst character in fiction. Would those same fans say “well, context matters and Hermione was being a jerk so it was a long time coming”? Probably not. I’d hope not.
Ron’s emotions are often treated with derision, such as, “Oh boo hoo- let me get my tiny violin out for the idiot! You’re just a jerk- your ickle feelings don’t matter!”, but apparently Hermione becoming jealous for not getting her own way is completely justified and warranted. How isn’t this hypocritical? I don’t understand how Hermione is treated like she’s perfect, but Ron is always treated so badly by fans for the slightest thing.
Apparently Ron is always to blame and can do no right, whereas Hermione is faultless and isn’t allowed to have a single flaw that might tarnish her perfection.
(The fact that most of the fans who treat Ron so poorly are Harmione shippers on here make it all the more vexing and yet unsurprising.
I remember someone made an ask, talking about why Romione shippers dislike Harmione shippers- the double standards, lack of empathy and hypocrisy on here answer that pretty well.)
Ron is great. This is a joke post))

Ron is actually being selfless and heroic?!!!??
What book have us exposers of Ron who identify the flaws of Ron in the narrative read? He did such things for Harry and Hermione and made such sacrifices?!
Next thing you know, Draco will have been mean all along. Oops, he actually was mean all along.
I am sorry that I cannot properly answer this question. I'm pretty sure that these people have just watched the movies and read too many fanfictions.
But it is quite clear that Ron was being selfless and kind throughout the books. He has flaws, but that makes him human, and not a Gary Stu. So therefore criticising him is to criticize all of the human race.
