I think Snape is not a good person. Yes, he ended up fighting against Voldemort and died for that, but I saw somewhere someone phrased it really well: James and Lily Potter fought for the light because that's what they believed in. Snape fought against the dark because it had personally wronged him. Snape also bullied children because he wasn't over a high school crush. I agree with you, op
Yeah, it always felt like a disservice to him and everything he'd done for Harry, for him to just turn up dead. He definitely deserved one. Honestly, if only three of the original Marauders had to have a death scene, it should have been Wormtail who was excluded.
I agree with @TheLavenderScentCow, only some Slytherins were bad. The house overall is NOT evil, just many named characters are. And cunning means you're smart and know how to solve problems/get what you want, which a lot of named Slytherins may have abused, but cunning is actually a good trait. Ambition means you have goals and can reach them and will try to, and again, the Slytherin characters in the story that were directly mentioned may have had bad intentions but the trait is a good thing to have. Pride isn't just being proud of your traits but also your accomplishments; it's basically being proud of yourself, and some of the Slytherins were too prideful in themselves, but being proud of yourself isn't necessarily a bad thing.
And I agree, don't call everyone evil unless EVERYONE is evil. And at 11 years old, in the US, that's sixth grade. You're still very impressionable, and so the heavy stereotyping of kids sorted into Slytherin and them being called evil and being treated differently because of other people being nasty individuals is going to go to their head and can make them incredibly insecure and feel like they need to prove themself, causing them to turn later in life to the side of the Dark wizards.
@Infinity75 You could argue that Severus Snape is technically a good Slytherin (bad things, but okay morals), same goes for Horace Slughorn, then we have Andromeda Tonks, mother of Nymphadora Tonks, Salazar Slytherin may have turned on the founders for a difference in beliefs but he was still overall a good person (although I will admit the whole chamber of secrets thing is a fair argument against him), MERLIN, late-story Draco, Narcissa Malfoy (remember how she only joined the Dark side because she loved Lucius and was willing to potentially sacrifice her reputation for him? and how she only stayed to protect her son and husband? and how she was what really kept Harry alive in the end?), Regulus Black (he joined the Death Eaters to make his family proud, but once he realized what it was actually about he left and sacrificed himself for the greater good [not gridelwald's greater good].
Now, canon expansions of the universe: Leta Lestrange (FB), Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy (Cursed Child [I personally don't consider this to be canon, but according to JKR it is, so I'm gonna count it, just for this.]), Phinneas Black (Jr.), who stood up for Muggle rights, Astoria Malfoy (Astoria Greengrass- she was a good person and raised her son to be a good person as well, though little else is known about her). Those are all the named canon Slytherins, and we're not going to get into OC's and fanon works for this.
And I admit- My phrasing of "a few bad apples doesn't tarnish the whole tree" was probably inaccurate to this situation, because you're right, it was more than a few bad Slytherins, most of the named Slytherins in the series are bullies/death eaters. Although, your point about all the slytherins being locked away during the Battle of Hogwarts was an event that only happened in the film, that was not in the book.
Name: Atlas Lancaster
Age: 16
Year:6
House: Nile
Gender: nonbinary, they/them
S&S: pan, yes (TBD)
Appearance:
They have fluffy auburn hair that reaches to about mid-neck. They have green eyes, but one of them appears darker because they hit their head as a small child and it caused the pupil to dilate permanently. Their skin is deeply tanned, they have a thin build and round childlike face. They wear mostly androgynous clothes but own one dress (which they rarely wear). They usually wear a crewneck or tee shirt and overalls, though. They wear large, round, gold glasses, piercings and jewelry. They often keep their hair back with a bandana tied like a headband.

I think that the bad slytherins should definitely be portrayed as such, but there are plenty of good slytherins, and a few bad apples doesn't tarnish the whole tree.
Hi, I'm CatFace, Cat, whatever, idc call me what u want to so long as I know ur talking to me. Welcome to the HP wiki! Just follow the rules (Ray already told u them, but if u need a refresher just look at the guidelines], be a nice person overall, and you'll be fine. See you around here.
@Man with no name or life exactly, but like he kinda deserves it
As character, I love him. As a person, I despise him.
Although, I'm gonna have to add that this guy gets beat every time by one to six high schoolers against him, the greatest dark wizard of all time, or him and his army of fully adult trained racist wizards. Do with that what you will, but like seriously... How did he get the title of Greatest Dark Wizard of All Time?
I mean- yeah sounds about right.
Man, sucks that I wouldn't be able to go for a variety of reasons. :/
I hope whoever can go enjoys it, though!
Going off of books (obv) it's close between Hermione and Ginny, but I think Hermione beats Ginny out.
@Widelymisunderstood *snakey sense

but like- it's basically canon-
hUh-
*Sees title*
Darling, it's Harry Potter. Yes. The ship exists.
Ok but jokes aside, this is I believe a pretty popular ship (though I personally don't ship it)
The answer is stated in the books many times that P. N. Black is the only Slytherin headmaster since ol' Sally himself.
mmm... Arthur.
rooting for sirius to win.
^^ yea, crabbe's actor got in some legal trouble (something to do with drugs or illegal substances if i remember correctly) and couldn't be there for that scene and the producers just killed off goyle and had blaise play the role goyle does in the books (alive, unimportant slytherin boy, basically)
Oh. That's disturbing that you know that but honestly the fact you know that and how you know that is pretty cool
