I really don’t like the fact that a child conceived under Love Potion can’t feel love. I know it’s canon, but it’s stupid nonetheless. I know someone who was conceived nonconsensually, and they’re capable of love.

Hi I’m nomad/nomqdic and I love Harry Potter. I’m convinced I read too many reinterpretations of the literary arts (fan fictions), meaning I’m out of touch with canon. I am male, female, and non-binary. You can use whatever pronouns you want, and if homophobia was an actual fear of gay people, I would be feared all over (pansexual). When I’m not wasting my teenage years reading fanfics, I’m usually playing Minecraft or attempting to make music. Anyways I hope y’all have a great day, love y’all.

Also, coming from experience, kids don’t tend to grasp severity of situations, such as Occlumency with Snape, the Cupboard etc. Adults/teens think about that more and realize the severity. For the longest time I thought Minerva telling Harry to eat a biscuit was me thinking ‘cookies help calm people down’ not ‘Minerva is rewarding Harry’

Here’s my two cents, Harry Potter tried to be suitable by ‘stunning’ death eaters. Seeing as the period between 95 and 97/98? Was considered a war, our ‘heroes’ should have been putting down the enemy. Heck, iirc, Barry Crouch fought for the right to use unforgivables in the field and moody killed if he couldn’t capture them safely
