Although Neville had his strengths (magic wasn't one of them) I honestly don't think Neville could have survived everything that Harry went through to weaken/delay the dark lord, even with his own unique team of friends. Maybe as he grew older but not early on. I love an underdog and adore Neville but he was nowhere near as brave and strong as Harry.
