You split your soul in half when you create a Horcrux. Harry was NOT the Heir of Slytherin, and Parseltoungue couldn't control the Basilisk - that isn't how it worked. No matter how distantly Harry and Voldemort were related, it was only due to the Peverells - Harry isn't related to the Gaunts in any way, much like Voldemort to the Potters. Therefore Harry could not be the Heir of Slytherin, already.
Only the Heir of Slytherin can control the Basilisk placed inside of the Chamber of Secrets.
Voldemort placing a part of Harry in him doesn't make him related to Slytherin.
"I have to get going, I might see you later - who knows, there's tons of students in the school. Anyway, bye!!" She set off back towards the school

You know, I don't care, the things I'm more disturbed by is stuff where they would never in a million years fit.
I feel like if Fantastic Beasts dies, the next thing we'll see is J.K. Rowling arriving back at children's books, and writing the last two Fantastic Beasts or a new Harry Potter story, which would be nice, actually, a canon view of the future without goddamn Delphini messing with it
