Couldve named a daughter ruby or something
Harry's so underrated in his own book
Honestly I feel the same about snape - I pity the child he was but cannot stand the adult he became. (opposite with malfoy - he didn't have a tough childhood at all).
@Pluraluke she doesnt rlly owe anyone her love tho...
He's been calling other people slurs that weren't her.
“I can’t pretend anymore. You’ve chosen your way, I’ve chosen mine.”
“No – listen, I didn’t mean –”
“– to call me Mudblood? But you call everyone of my birth Mudblood, Severus. Why should I be any different?”
So, he hasn't just been insulting her. He's been insulting her friends a lot too. If you're 'impulsively' using a slur, it means you're actively using it elsewhere or use it a lot already.
And Snape's completely alright to bully other students.
“...but I don’t like some of the people you’re hanging round with! I’m sorry, but I detest Avery and Mulciber! Mulciber! What do you see in him, Sev, he’s creepy! D’you know what he tried to do to Mary Macdonald the other day?” Lily had reached a pillar and leaned against it, looking up into the thin, sallow face.
“That was nothing,” said Snape. “It was a laugh, that’s all –”
“It was Dark Magic, and if you think that’s funny –”
“What about the stuff Potter and his mates get up to?” demanded Snape.
You can see how instead of condemning his friend's actions, he starts attacking James. I'm not defending james, im sure he wasn't all sunshine and rainbows but, as Lily says,
“They don’t use Dark Magic, though.”
So, honestly, if I were Lily, I wouldn't want to date Snape either. He's insulting her friends, attacking her friends, and doesn't take accountability for either of those things.
If he really loved her, wouldn't he have never joined the death eaters? he KNOWS that they don't like his best friend/girl he's 'in love' with. (I say this as a brown girl - I don't think I'd want to date a racist guy, no matter how much he thinks I'm 'different'.)
Tl;dr : I don't think she should date Snape. The slur was just the straw that broke the camel's back.
he called her a slur like I dont rlly think that works😭😭😭
Oliver wood is NOT a hear me out that is a straight smash
I go to school in london and we have alternating timetables for teacher convenience - so we have a week 1 and a week 2. so I could have maths p1 monday w1, but english p1 monday w2, but then maths again the next monday.
If he hadn't let harry be raised in an abusive household, I don't think I'd hate him much. I get that he's trying to help everyone in the long term.
The harry favouritism isn't really that bad - if my headteacher was really nice to the kid that has dead parents, dead godparents, and saved our lives multiple times, I wouldn't really mind? like ok sure give him 100 points, idm at least I'm not dead.
Honestly I never thought I'd vote draco in a scenario like this but tbf snape and voldemort were adults when they made questionable decisions/were racist bigots. at least draco was only a child, and supposedly improved.
@Harrypotter394 (sorry for the late reply omg mocks are killing me) but I meant more that Dumbledore was a bit of an enabler - he let harry be raised in an abusive household under the guise that it would 'protect' him but he could have easily raised Harry himself and had him protected that way - it's not like he didn't know.
Mrs Figg saw everything and even then, Harry was raised in a frankly appalling manner - he might not have been the one to hit him, but he let it all happen without batting an eyelid.
So fair omg there is no character in this series that I despise more than Snape - anyone who's had an awful teacher knows how frustrating it can be that this person has power over you and there's nothing you can do about it. And especially if you've had someone you thought was your friend call you a slur - it's just cruel.
It's even more frustrating because he's HONOURED by the end of the series with Harry naming one of his CHILDREN after him (also albus severus? two people that abused him??? should've done voldemort bellatrix potter and been done with it smh). Most awful characters get their karma but snape never does.
he's not a hero. he's cruel. that's it really.
She SO deserved that - why was she so invested in the love-life of a fourteen-year-old boy??? and then tried to slt-shame his best friend??? my only thought is hermione should've found a way to trap her earlier.
Thats not a hear me out thats a smash.
Lowk I just feel bad for percy - he's clearly a little bit ostracized at home, and living with fred and geoge can't be easy. then when his family is supporting dumbledore (and keep in mind he isn't exactly friends with harry so he has no clue what to believe) and he's promoted, they're just upset with him???
like if I were a random bystander I wouldn't believe harry either - there's no proof whatsoever to what he's saying. then he did come back in the end to help his siblings fight. good for him but he's never really given an apology for the way he was treated at home either.
Yeah I agree. Him getting rejected and making it everyone else's problem isn't really all that complicated (if he really loved lily, why bully her son? clearly, his hatred for james outweighed his love for her. if he really loved lily, maybe he wouldn't have joined an organisation trying to kill people like her).
While his abusive father and mutually antagonistic relationship with James can explain some of his behaviour, it doesn't justify it in the slightest. He really shouldn't have been allowed near children, let alone be a teacher.
(esp w the way he treated basically all students that weren't in Slytherin - they have nothing to do with him. lay off.)
I have them on dvd from a charity shop. But, I used to be a pirate.
Oooh. Out of curiousity, was this AI generated?
This is so well thought out and detailed - what do you think of someone like Lily getting picked (or any other female characters around this time)?
I think she definitely deserved it, but maybe not permanently?
like it's got to be hard to get a job as an adult ten years later when you've got 'sneak' on your face, impossible to hide.
Off topic but OMG EVANESCENCE!!!!! I LOVE them theyre so cool (and so is your artwork!!)
