Godric tried to get his father off his track. It was diligent. Eventually, he managed to sneak out to see his friends. “Why’d you take so long?” asked Nathan (Nate for short). Godric looked back a few times just to make sure nobody was following him. “My dad.” He answered simply.
“Hi Godric. I’ve been enjoying this diverting book. I’m on chapter 6 now!” Rowena said excitedly. Godric just looked flabbergasted. What? he thought. Rae was levitating a leather ball. “I still can’t get hang of it! ‘Wingardium LeviosA!!!’ Argh!!” said Rae angrily.
“It’s ‘Wingardium LeviOsa’.” said Rowena, performing the spell herself to exhibit it to Rae.
“Thanks, that totally helped.” he replied grumpily. Rowena glared at him sharply. Rosie rolled her eyes. Layla was talking to Godric about his father. “So why does your father want to isolate you?” asked Layla. She was concentrating, keeping her eyes focused on a bright red ladybug. Layla held it in her palm, using her free hand to shield it from harm. “Teaching, and he won’t let me make any friends, but he’s going to find out soon that I do have some friends.” He was focusing closely at the people on the green field.
“Godric!”said a deep man’s voice. Uh oh! he thought. “What are you doing with these people? I demand you to come back home!” said Godric’s father. Everybody looked at him. “Well?” he said, raising an eyebrow. He had nothing to say. Isaac stood up in defence. “Come fight me old man! You’re not taking Godric without a fight!” he shouted. Isaac took out his wand. “Are you a coward? COME FIGHT ME COWARD! COWARD” he told him.
“Stop it, please. I’ll just get into more trouble. Please stop, please!” Godric whispered into his ear. “I wanted to do this without a fight, but I have to do this.” Said his father in the deep voice. “Expelliarmus!” Isaac said. The wand flipped out of his father’s hand. He looked like somebody had hit him. “Godric! Come over here, I’m your father. You wouldn’t betray me! Would you?” he pleaded helplessly. Godric stared in his father’s eyes, and his father stared back. “No, father. I don’t know if I should even call you a father, because you’re not acting like one.” He turned his way so he couldn’t see the shame. He got hold of his wand while nobody was looking. “Stupefy!” he shouted, pointing it at his son. The spell missed by inches. Everybody gasped.
“Not cool bro!” said Liam. Then the group (except Slytherin, obviously!) started shouting spells at him, and he was fighting back. Godric couldn’t do anything. He was paralyzed at what the man just did.
“Run!” shouted Erin. They ran as quick as lightning but Godric just stood there, staring blankly at his former father. “Duck!” shouted Helga.
“Duck? There is no duck! Where’s the duck?” said Adeline as they ran. Salazar rolled his eyes. “Just run!” repeated Erin. When they thought they were off the track, they stopped.
“I see-Hogsmeade-not-not far from-here. We can blend in-with the crowd.” Rosie said, out of breath. “Who asked?” Salazar said rudely. Learn some manners for once! Thought Rowena while Salazar started arguing about what he said. “Can we not fight? I don’t like the loud noises.” breathed Layla “Please?”
