My opinion on Snape is simply this: he is human, therefore he is flawed. This is what makes his character not only relatable, but compelling. The fine line between good and evil is never permanent and it can be blurred — Snape is a perfect example of this. Instead of arguing in terms of black and white, we should be perceiving him as a flawed human being who — deep down — has a good heart. And in my opinion, that’s all that matters.

Professor Peregrine hummed quietly to herself as she arranged a bookshelf in her classroom.

Gabriel curled up on floor of the library, preferring the dark corner rather than the cushioned seats provided by the nearby tables. He grunted as he lifted a heavy textbook onto his lap, letting his fingers trace the binding of the book for a moment before opening the book and flipping through its ancient pages.

But little does Gabriel — not anyone else, for that matter — know of his strength in the face of danger.

Yeah, I agree. Umbridge is a nasty woman, but she doesn’t compare to cold-blooded murderers like Voldemort.

@Forty third as myself Not everyone in Hogwarts is smart - you say that, and yet you target Hufflepuffs specifically about lacking intelligence in your poll. If you genuinely don’t believe that, why is it even an option in your poll? I’m sorry if I come across as rude because it isn’t my intention. However, it’s blatantly obvious to me that you would’ve never put that last option on a poll about Slytherin - because Slytherins lacking intelligence is unfathomable, isn’t it? But with Hufflepuffs, it just “makes sense” that they’re the dumb, gullible ones with shallow personalities, right? But I agree that in theory, yes - with the exception of Ravenclaw - all the other Houses can certainly have their fair share of stupidity. But I can read the room well, and I definitely don’t struggle with my intelligence to recognize a bias when I see one.

I absolutely agree. Albus contributed some, but Scorpius carried the team - especially when he had to navigate the alternate reality in which Voldemort won the Battle of Hogwarts.

@CartoonFan311 Exactly. Funny enough, I actually experienced the same thing. I was first sorted into Ravenclaw five years ago, then maybe about a year ago, I took the Sorting quiz on the Wizarding World site, and found myself sorted into Hufflepuff. At first I was confused with the result, then I realized as time went on that I truly identified as a Hufflepuff - and I’ve been a defender of my House ever since. And the fact that I even feel a need to defend my House is ridiculous, because it goes to show just how much slander we Hufflepuffs get from other Houses sometimes. It’s like we always have to stand up for ourselves, and for what? For having a little loyalty? Being less selfish? It’s honestly laughable.

I’d love to know who thinks Hufflepuffs aren’t smart because it’s obvious that they can’t see past the stupid stereotype and have clearly never met a Hufflepuff in their life. Loyalty, patience, and selflessness does not equal stupidity or weakness. We have more bite and fight in us than other Houses think. I see it firsthand all the time with family, friends (both online and irl), coworkers, etc., who are Hufflepuffs. We need to not only condemn House stereotypes but defy them. As a fellow Hufflepuff, I’ll defend Hufflepuffs until the day I die. :)

Just noticed that the post was updated—it seems like a compelling idea, but do we need to have both Discord and Google Classroom to participate?

I would like to know more details relating to this before I fully commit, but I’m interested.
