Peeves is one of my favorite characters. He is annoying but he genuinely cares about the school, and hates one of our enemies, Umbridge. He also helped in the war, I say he's annoying but basically everything he does is funny, not really hurtful.

How do kids in Hogwarts ask each other out? Like do they say meet me at the Quiditch Staduim at lunch or pass each other pieces of parchment? And we don't see any "couples" in the books or movies really, I'm not gonna count the "oh won won" couple because lets face it they are way too cringe. Plus they were all kissing no feeling, for Ron atleast and that's all that matters.

I think Imperio because atleast you get a painless death. With Imperio someone could make you kill everyone you love. So, some pain from crucio is not as bad sounding as that.
