What if Harry had become friends with Draco? I think that a lot of the story is based around this, and since there would be barely any rivalry, I think the series woud go *KABOOM*! Plus, in the end they kinda did become friends.
What if Lily and James had survived? Again, a lot of the plot is based around this, so the story would be pointless.
What if Voldemort had gotten the Sorcerer's Stone? BYE, BYE, HARRY POTTER!!! W=THE WORLD WILL BE DESTROYED ANYWAYS!!!!
What if Tom hadn't made Horcruxes? No point for the series!
What if Harry didn't get the Felix felicis? Sorry Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!!! You've got to go!
What if Lucius was a good father? Draco would be SOOOOO much more kind. But Lucius probably wouldn't be a death eater anymore, so there would be be barely any point of him.
