Someone should ask J. K. Rowling what would happen if a Horcrux ends up in the Veil.
It's a sad fact of life that people who are abused during their childhood (especially victims of sexual abuse) are far more likely to end up becoming abusive themselves later on in their adult years. And make no mistake, Merope was definitely a product of abuse.
I always figured that Merope was probably raped herself many times either by her father or her brother or possibly even both and that what she did to Tom Riddle Sr. was really just her doing what she had been taught to do.
Not that that makes it any better obviously. In fact, it probably makes it even worse.
Reminds me of a certain fanfic that I've been getting into lately.
Something that I've often wondered about whenever I read the books was why Dumbledore spent so much time trying to find ways to destroy Voldemort's horcruxes when he could've just pulled some strings to have them dumped through the Veil.
I seriously doubt that a Horcrux—even one as powerful as Voldemort's—would've been able to withstand the full might of death itself.
Interestingly, when Harry compares Olympe Maxime to a dinosaur, Ron doesn't ask what a dinosaur is. Which makes me wonder if the Wizarding World knew about dinosaurs.
Or maybe the dinosaurs really were magical creatures that died out. Or they could even still be alive...

I suppose the obvious answer is that you can flesh out a story and characters a lot more in a television series then you could in a movie.
As messed up as it is, piracy really is becoming the only way you can actually get physical copies of movies or shows these days.
Let's face it, not everybody can afford streaming services and what happens when they decide to remove a show?
My biggest fear is that one day Netflix will decide that there's no profit in Arcane and axe it. And that is a really good show.
True. Back in the good old days we used to have these things called "Blank Cassett Tapes" that you could use to record any movies, or TV shows you wanted to watch but were inevitably going to miss.
You could even record other stuff over the things you'd previously recorded which was a real lifesaver for me.
I have an entire collection of recorded X-Files episodes that I haven't seen in years.

I have all of the first four Harry Potter films on VHS. I also have no VHS player. Unfortunate coincidence that.
It's a type of caramel and butter hard candy that's really popular here in New Zealand. I would highly recommend trying them if you ever get the chance. There are other types as well.
I feel like the Lethifold would potentially be more dangerous than a Dementor because unlike Dementors who seem incapable of hiding their presence (its repeatedly stated that people experience feelings of sudden cold and hopelessness whenever a Dementor is nearby), Lethifolds are silent creatures that can sneak up on a person and catch them unawares when they're at their most vulnerable.
