here's the first mention of him from sorcerer's stone:

harry is friends with dean thomas so that's not completely correct. it is true how there are no main characters that are black but just because it's lacking a race doesn't make it racist. i love anthony mackie (im a marvel fan) so i might read into it a little more but i don't think he directly called hp racist.

He's done some pretty questionable things but i believe he was an overall good character. i used to be a dumbledore hater but not anymore, ive been trying to rethink my opinions on characters lately.

I just ignore it. I don't think Rowling is the nicest person ever but I don't pay attention to her beliefs and don't really know what they are so I tend to stay away from it. I also love Emma Watson but then again, I haven't read into the whole situation and don't know what she's saying.
