Max smiled sheepishly. "I was trying to wake you up!"

Max looked expectantly as Iris, who wasn't waking up. "Auguamenti!" she said. She aimed the burst of water at Iris' head.

Max quickly rushed over to Iris. "Are you okay?" she asked, ignoring Lyla.

Max jumped away from Lil, hoping to avoid the pensive that was now flying at them.

"Well, good thing we're in a forest with a lot of time. Explain all twenty to me," Max said. She hoped she wasn't being insesnsitive.

Max didn't believe her for a second. "Nuh uh. I'm your friend. Tell me about the memory."

Then she noticed Iris' voice - and the tears in it. "Oh, uh, that's nice, i guess? Is your mom dead?" Max tried to ignore how uncomfortable she felt when people dumped emotions on her.

The leaf wasn't doing anything to Max except possibly activating her allergies, so she turned her attention to Lil. She was smelling a flower with rich red petals and her face had crumpled a little bit. A memory? "What is it?" Max asked.

Max wasn't sure what she thought about smelling things, but it wasn't like sitting in the shade of a tree was summoning any of her memories, so she thought she'd try it out. She took a tentative sniff at the leaf on a tree.

"I won't," she said to Lil, truthfully. If she was good at anything, it was keeping a secret.

Max heard her name. "I'm here," she said. "I'm trying to come up with some way to get out of here. And also trying to see if I can 'trigger' any memories."

neither tbh, i kinda hate both. but hinny is worse.

I don't want to engage in any arguments but since jk is the author, whatever she says is cannon, is cannon. it's her choice. that's all i have to say on the matter.

as far as the book goes, i didn't like it. the plot wasn't very good, and it didn't make sense. i also thought it was pretty boring. the only thing I liked about it was the albus / scorpius relationship. (friends........ or more?)
