Slytherin!!!

Kade giggled at Mercedes and Erjon. Kiss, kiss, kiss!!

"Slytherins aren't bad," Lori said, piping up for the first time. "They're ambitious, cunning, resourceful, and natural leaders. I think I'd that if I weren't a Ravenclaw, I'd be a Slytherin."

Lori was not looking forward to Hogwarts. It seemed super old-timey, not the places where they'd have gadgets. Lori was going to have to face a withdrawal of technology. "Oh no," they said.

"It's fine," Kade said quickly. "we just got off on the wrong foot. I bet he's great."

Kade nodded. "Right." she said. "I can see that."

"Kind of," Kade said. "Especially when they don't like you," she added, shooting a look at Ranger.

Kade stood there awkwardly. Curse bad social skills, she thought to herself. Now this Ranger guy hates me. "Being a vampire is really cool!" she said, trying to sound enthusiastic. "I'm a telekinetic." As if to prove her point, she levitated her water bottle out of her bag to her hands and took a sip.

"Oh, sorry," Kade said. "I'm Kayla. Call me Kade. I take it that you're from the same universe as Jacy? Are you guys in the same pack?"

Kade looked at Jacy. "What subject are you most excited to learn?" She asked.

Lori noticed a new girl, Ranger, walk in. They'd finally decided that they should talk to someone. They waved at the girl and gave a smile. Well, it was more of a half-smile.

"Yeah," Kade agreed. "I can't wait to learn magic other than telekinesis."

"Yeah," Kade said, but she wasn't so sure. "Life on Ilya seems kind of great compared to living in the wild," she confessed. "We have money and nice clothes and powers. And other people have it horrible and I can't do anything about it and it's really annoying." Kade said.
