Harry Potter et l'Enfant Maudit ( angl. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child ) est une pièce de théâtre sortie en 2016[1] et qui a été révélée en deux parties.[2]
Cette pièce de théâtre est considérée comme étant la « huitième histoire de Harry Potter ».[3]
Le premier artwork officiel de la pièce a été révélé sur Pottermore le 22 octobre 2015.[2]
Le 23 octobre, le synopsis de la pièce est révélé et dévoile que la pièce concernera Harry Potter et son fils Albus qui doivent faire face à une menace survenue de manière inattendue.[3]
Le 10 février 2016, Pottermore annonce officiellement que le script de la pièce sera publié en livre. Celui-ci est sorti au lendemain de la première mondiale, le 31 juillet.[4]
Le script de la pièce a été publié par les éditions Gallimard le 14 octobre 2016. Il a été traduit par Jean-François Ménard.
La pièce à remporté neuf prix "Olivier Awards".
Le 22 avril 2018, il y aura une ouverture officielle de la pièce au théâtre lyrique de Broadway.
La nouvelle édition du livre comprend : la modification du dialogue final de la pièce qui a été légèrement modifié lors des représentations répétitives, ainsi qu'un calendrier d'évènements internationaux importants, un arbre généalogique de la famille Potter.[5], sans oublier l'interview complet de Jack Thorne et de John Tiffany.
