The "Dangerous" Dai Llewellyn Ward for Serious Bites is a ward located on the first floor St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries[1] that treats creature-induced injuries. The ward was named in honour of "Dangerous" Dai Llewellyn, a Welsh Quidditch player famous for his risky tactics, who died when he was eaten by a Chimaera while on holiday in MykonosGreece.[2]

History

After suffering a snake bite in 1995,[3] Arthur Weasley stayed in this ward. This ward is small and dingy and has only one window, which lies opposite the door. It is mainly illuminated by shining crystal bubbles clustered in the middle of the ceiling.[4]

During Arthur Weasley's stay, Trainee Healer Augustus Pye was interested in Muggle medicine and attempted to help Arthur by using stitches on his wounds, though of course they didn't work.[1] There were two other patients in the ward during this visit; one was a wizard who had been bitten by a werewolf (who Lupin talked to during the Christmas visit), and the other was a witch who wouldn't reveal what she was handling when she sustained her injuries.[4][1]
